First wait to see if your return was accepted or rejected.
Accepted: An amended return must be completed to make the corrections.
Rejected: Make the change before you resubmit your return through e-file.
If it was accepted you can amend your tax return using the information below. The amended Form 1040-X will be ready later this month. The IRS is not willing to accept amendments until later in the tax season. Uses the links below for assistance and readiness.
How to Correct Federal Tax Returns
There could be many reasons why the amended return may not be ready yet, including the IRS systems. If you want to make changes or add a document to a tax return that has already been filed and accepted by the taxing agency, you should follow these guidelines.
By using the link, Tax Forms Availability, you can continue to check to see when it's ready. Be sure to review all the instructions before you begin so that TurboTax knows the original information and the changes.
You must first wait until the initial return is completely processed.
You will have to use the same TurboTax account that you used for the original tax return.
Once you begin your amendment, you'll see your original return.
The refund calculator will start new at $0 and only reflect the changes in the refund or tax due
Only make changes to the areas of your return that need to be corrected.
You have three years from the date you filed your return or two years after you paid the tax due (whichever is later) to file an amendment
How do I amend my federal tax return for this year?
Be sure to correct your state return as well.

Do you mean that you ended up getting job with health insurance through the employer later in the year? When you no longer needed the marketplace insurance, did you notify healthcare.gov?
From Healthcare.gov:
If you're enrolled in a Marketplace plan and your income or household changes, update your application as soon as possible.
These changes — like higher or lower income, adding or losing household members, or getting offers of other health coverage — may affect the coverage or savings you’re eligible for. After you finish applying or enrolling, you may be asked to submit documents to confirm your income.

Thank you Vanessa for the thorough reply. I understand that my son is the owner of the ABLEnow account. That makes it tricky, maybe. However, can’t the ABLEnow account be treated analogously to a Roth account, in which one can withdraw one’s contributions at any time for any reason without penalty (just not earnings)? The contributions to an ABLEnow account are not pre-tax. They are post-tax contributions. If I make the contributions to the ABLEnow account post-tax, can’t I use the contributions for his dependent care as a dependent care tax credit, up to my total contributions over the years?

To calculate the community property withholding portion as an Arizona resident, you will typically divide the total of both spouses' income and deductions by two.
However, when filing separate tax returns in a community property state, you will need to complete Form 8958.
To complete Form 8958, you will need a copy of your spouse's tax return because you will need to know their totals as well.
When you have your spouse's information, do the following in TurboTax:
Click on the magnifying glass at upper right of your screen (next to Help)
Input 8958, then Enter or Return
A "Jump to 8958" message should appear (if it does not, it may be that you have not inputted your spouse's information in the My Info section)
Click on "Jump to 8958"
You will then be asked a series of questions, as well as your spouse's income and other information

No one has to act as their own lawyer here. The facts and circumstances are set forth below and the transferee(s) can determine if some or all of them are satisfied. 1) The transfer is to a family member, most typically from a parent to a child. 2) The transferor (again generally a parent) is elderly and continues to reside on the property usually until death. 3) There is some sort of understand between the parties as to the arrangement under examination. 4) The transferor, while continuing to reside on the property, pays most or all of the expenses (e.g., property taxes, utilities, mortgage interest (if any), repairs and maintenance). 5) The property is being used as the transferor's primary residence. 6) The property is sold by those formerly with a remainder interest within a short time period after death of the (implied) life tenant. This is not rocket science; if the facts are identical or reasonably similar to those set forth above, the argument for an implied life estate will be persuasive if not determinative.

Business vehicles are in a different section of Schedule C Expenses in TurboTax than are other types of depreciable assets. The sections appear somewhat differently depending on the version of TurboTax. Look in the full list of deductible expenses for Business Vehicle Expense, which is where you will enter information for depreciation, rather than in Business Assets.
See this tax tips article for more information about deducting business use of vehicles.

We are investigating this issue.
However, if you would prefer to file now, you can do so by switching paying your TurboTax fees with a credit card instead of using the pay with my refund option by following these steps.

After you enter your 1099-NEC or income from Door Dash and Uber, you will go to the section for expenses. Here you will select business vehicle expenses and walk through the questions to enter your milage. To enter your self-employment income and expenses select the following: Federal Income and Expenses Show More next to Self-Employment Start next to Self-Employment Yes, to you have any self-employment income or expenses Enter the type of self-employment work you do and you can select that you use your name for your business Click through a few more screens and you will get to a screen that says "Your XX info" Click Looks good Then you will come to a screen that says Let's enter the income for your business. It will give you the option of 1099-NEC or Other self-employed income including the 1099K , cash and checks. If you do not select one, it will not let you enter your income Enter your self-employment income on the next screen Continue and on the next screen click add expenses Select Business Vehicle Expenses * Please note navigation may differ slightly depending on which version of TurboTax you are using* The income and expenses as an independent contractor will be reported on Schedule C which is part of your overall tax return. This also means you will be subject to the 15.3% SE Tax. If you did not pay Self Employment (SE) Taxes in 2025, and if you plan to do this again in 2026, it may be a good idea to make estimated quarterly payments to avoid penalties.
