Hello. I've reached out to TT three times to get some items fixed. 1. Dependent is still not showing as dependent despite it saying good news you qualify for a tax break. Rep said no idea why it is not showing and to wait for update which should have been today, but which didn't come. This is a SOFTWARE ERROR. 2. Cannot efile 1099 NEC report. Again, rep said it is a browser problem (NO, it is a TT problem!) As other returns show efile option. 3. Also TT said payments to attorney's over $10 must be reported on 1099 NEC, but IRS says payments must be over $600. 4. Today, filing day, TT update STILL not available.

South Carolina forms appear to be finalized and available. Sounds like you have tried just about everything. There does seem to be an increase in the number of people having problems with the FILE Steps section. Whether there is a known or developing issue there, I don't know. Does the Review that you were talking about refer to the REVIEW tab that is in the left menu column? If you haven't gone there, I'd do that to see if there is any message. Otherwise, since there's plenty of time, if it was me, I'd wait a few days and try again to see if it was resolved with any of the ongoing online updates. In the meantime, you can keep checking threads in this forum in case it becomes a known issue.

No, that’s ok. The IRS doesn’t want the cents reported anyway. Box 6 doesn’t affect anything else on your tax return. This is just for the program.

Thanks but a clarification question. I was active duty prior to 10/01/1991 and then a combination of active duty and full-time National Guard (AGR) after that date. This allowed for an active duty retirement of 33 years. Would I use just the dates since active both before and after? Thanks again!

TurboTax accounts cannot be combined. Choose one to use going forward; keep a record of how to get to the "old" one just in case you ever need to look at it.

The IRS Where's my refund shows Return Received. Same status since we filed in March 2026. There has been no change each time we check, which is almost weekly. We did receive 1 letter from the IRS (in July) confirming they received the return but they needed an additional 60 days to review. The letter stated no action was needed on our side. We have not received any additional communication and are unable to reach anyone to obtain an update. Recordings and online systems just say "return received" and nothing else is needed. We file a simple return, married filing joint, 2 W-2's and standard deductions. Nothing else. Refund was supposed to be direct deposit, same as every year. We received our State immediately. No, we did not have fees or anything being taken from out refund. We did not pay for upgraded filing to have helpo from tax expert, so I can't figure out if TurboTax offers assistance for previous year's filing. We have used TurboTax for the last 9 years and never had any issue, until our 2024 filing.
