Yep...when I got a new Computer last year, I could reinstall 2020 and newer. 2020 still works jut fine for me. And I'll leave them all installed (with PDFs backed up offline...and in bank safe-deposit box) until I get a new computer in a few years. Before that, on the older computer, I had all 8 or so back years still working just fine thru a W10-W11 on-computer upgrade too. But I'm on Windows 11. Folks with MACs usually have more back-year compatibility issues...depending on what OS version they have updated to.

Gifts are not deductible. If you receive money and pay tax on it, and then give some money, you also can't deduct the tax on the money. The gift is completely separate from how you got the money in the first place.
You must report gifts of more than $19,000 per person per year on form 709. This is filed separately from your tax return and is not supported by Turbotax. However, you don't owe gift tax unless your total of lifetime gifts is more than about $14 million.

If you are trying to distribute an inheritance or something, give us more details and we may be able to suggest other ways of doing it. But gifts themselves are not deductible.

I found that they do stop working because the update server is no longer available so the program cannot be opened. at least that has been my experience for 2019/2020/2021 even though they were up to date with the state installed. What I got was a screen to enter the license code but even after entering that, i got an error message
the easiest way for @ZbysioSie to check is to try to open the app and see what happens.

i can't answer as to whether what you got were RSUs vs RSAs. The thing with RSUs is 83(b) does not apply so no income should have been added to your w-2. with RSAs unvested shares are repurchased by the company while with unvested RSUs they're forfeited back to the company
the other weird thing with the 83(b) election, it's the employee who decides whether to make it or not and not the company
see this link
https://carta.com/learn/equity/rsa-vs-rsu/
if you are still unsure what they are you'll need to confer probably with a tax lawyer. it is possible your company is not correctly applying the tax laws especially if what you have are RSUs.

I don't think they stop working if they are activated and state program is installed if applicable. If you try to reinstall and reactivate those versions on a new computer that won't work beyond the current year and 3 prior versions. If they're working I wouldn't uninstall them unless really want to clean up and confident you don't need to access to your old return any more. If you do decide to uninstall make sure you have PDF copy of your return with all forms and worksheets.
