Yes.   You can only deduct the amount of unreimbursed Medical Expenses you actually paid over 7.5% of your AGI. So it might take a lot to be worth entering. And then all your itemized deductions have to be more than the standard deduction to get any benefit (so you would only be getting the benefit of the amount that puts you over the standard deduction). And since the Standard Deduction is increased more people will not need to Itemize. For 2025 the standard deduction amounts are: (new as of July 5, 2025 OBBBA) Single 15,750 + 2,000 for 65 and over or blind (17,750) HOH 23,625 + 2,000 for 65 and over or blind (25,625) Joint 31,500 + 1,600 for each 65 and over or blind (33,100/34,700) Married filing Separate 15,750 + 1,600 for 65 and over or blind (17,350)

Are you on Windows or Mac?     You can do them 2 different ways from the Windows Desktop Home & Business program. Either Online using Quick Employer Forms (QEF) -or- directly on your computer using Create forms on Desktop. If you use Create Forms on your Desktop you have to mail them to the IRS and not efile. In the Window's Home & Business Desktop program to Prepare W2s or 1099s, there are 2 ways to start. 1. Go up to File - Create 1099/W-2 2. On the beginning screen that has the Continue box and Start a New Return blue button, below is the Create 1099/W-2 button. Then you will get a box to Create employer forms using Quick Employer Forms OR you can pick Create forms on Desktop at the bottom. If you use Create Forms on your Desktop you have to mail them to the IRS and not efile.   On the beginning screen that has the Continue box and Start a New Return blue button, below is the Create 1099/W-2 button. Or you can go up to File-Create 1099/W-2. That will open a box to Create employer forms in the online Quick Employer Forms (QEF). OR you can pick Create forms on Desktop at the bottom. If you use Create Forms on your Desktop you have to mail them to the IRS and not efile.
To import a W-2 you must know the Employer Identification Number (EIN), the amount of wages in box 1 of the W-2 and the Control Number in box d of the W-2.

But not to corporations or for merchandise. You send the IRS a copy of the 1099NEC with the transmittal summary form 1096. These are due to the person by Jan 31 and to the IRS by Jan 31 also.

Distributions are not taxable (unless they are in excess of Basis).   The program should already know how much it paid for the real estate and the amount of depreciation, then you'll enter how much it sold for.  It will then calculate the taxable gain based on that information.  The 1065 and its K-1s will then only reflect the gain.
Thank You! I'll go over to the form and correct it.  So frustrating . . .

Good things to clarify, NONE of which matters if Turbotax is not saving my entries when I complete the screen: "Tell us about ________'s High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) coverage for 2025. Then select Calculate Max Contribution Limit to see their contribution limit. If they were covered by a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) and Medicare or another non-HDHP plan during the same month, select None.  The "Calculate Maximum Contribution" after completing the screen shows the maximum amount as expected.  After saving and reopening, ALL entries are set back to "None."
SSN that was auto filled on my return is incorrect. I have entered the correct number in my Turbo Tax profile. There is no way given to edit the SSN on the actual tax filing page.
I did call today TT customer service and they also confirmed tomorrow it should be updated.  Thank you for your reply.

Social Security is still being taxed as it was in the past; however, there's a new $6,000 deduction for individuals older than 65 years old.  Also, a $12,000 deduction would apply to couples who qualify.    The full taxable amount is included in your gross income on Form 1040; however, the Senior Deduction is reflected on line 13b. This deduction is for qualified individuals. Age: You must be 65 or older by the end of the tax year (e.g., born before Jan 2, 1961, for 2025 returns). Income Limits: Your Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) must be below certain thresholds (e.g., $175k single, $250k joint for 2025), with Deductions phasing out above those levels. Benefit: Up to $6,000 (single) or $12,000 (joint) Additional standard deduction to reduce taxable income.  Deduction phases out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $75,000 ($150,000 for joint filers). It is reflected on Schedule 1A, Part V, Line 37 For more information, see Deductions for Seniors.

There is currently a bug in the step-by-step entry of HDHP coverage.  If you indicate in step-by-step mode that you had differing coverage throughout the year, TurboTax incorrectly marks a box that is intended to indicate that you had no coverage at any time during the year rather than leaving that box blank.  At present, a proper entry can only be made using forms mode of the desktop version of TurboTax so as to avoid the inappropriate marking of the box that indicates no coverage at any time during the year.
You don’t have to file a return.
