No, if he is not a dependent on your tax return, you don't include his income as part of the calculation for the Premium Tax Credit for Marketplace health insurance.   Because he was on your 1095-A for five month, both you and he will need to fill out the "allocation" information.  That will 'split' those amounts between your tax return and his tax return.  If Advance credit was received (column C of the 1095-A), you can allocate using any percentage (all three amounts need to be the same though).  It is usually most beneficial to allocate 100% to one tax return and 0% to the other.  Allocating 100% to the tax return that has the lowest number on Line 5 of Form 8962 will result in the best OVERALL credit.
When is this going to be ready
Is there an alternative to itsdedcutible?   A few developers offer similar programs. Do a search for "ItsDeductible alternatives".
Thanks for the udpate.  IRS updated the form last March.  Hopefully, Turbo Tax will have the update posted soon.  I checked today (Jan 8th), but nothing yet.
Unfortunately that did not work. I am still not seeing any option for me to upload my 2024 completed tax return that was completed and filed outside of TurboTax. Any help would be appreciated.
Did you already e-file?   If you already e-filed, you made a choice you cannot change.

@liquelique85 No, there is nothing extra that you have to do to claim your child on your tax return.  Since there is no signed 8332, when the software asks if you have an agreement with another parent, say NO to that.

The estimated date for 1099-R input is January 21.
Sorry--no.   TurboTax eliminated "It's Deductible" and has not replaced it with any other program to import your donations.

If you signed up for the "five day early" refund,  it sounds like you misunderstood some things about that offer.   You do not get your refund in five days.   The offer says you get the refund five days earlier than the IRS would send it to you.  The IRS will not even begin to accept/reject e-files until January 26, and after acceptance, the IRS has to process your return and approve the refund.   Realistically, even with the "5-day early" offer, you cannot get your refund until sometime in mid to late February at the earliest, and if you are getting additional child tax credit or earned income credit, the IRS holds your refund until mid-February.

I don't think anyone here knows exact dates for these sections, updates generally come weekly so I wouldn't plan on "any day now" with these major sections, they won't release these sections until they're fully certified for filing at this point.   If you're trying to do estimates, 1099B (Schedule D via Capital Asset Sales worksheet) and 1099R can be input directly in Forms mode if comfortable with that.  If doing Roth conversion etc you'd need to go through 8606 in Forms mode also and provide any contribution details and IRA market value for 12/31/25.

So is there anything I need to do as far as now because he has been the one claiming our son since birth, but my son has been in my care for over 183 days since he was born and I didnt know there was any form for noncustodial parents to fill out. So do I need to do anything further so I could claim him this year?

Sorry it's too, late to start a 2024 or prior online return or use the mobile app, either on Turbo Tax or the IRS.  And too late to efile.   If you need to do 2024 or prior you can buy the Desktop download here, TurboTax 2022 Prior Year Tax Prep - File Past Years' Taxes You will need Windows 10 or Mac OS Ventura 13 or later to install 2024.   If you can't install the Desktop program or if you have a simple return and want to file for free, you can print out the blank IRS forms and fill them out by hand.   Here are some basic forms….. Here is the IRS 2024 Form 1040 https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040--2024.pdf or if you want bigger type use 1040SR for Seniors, https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s--2024.pdf And 2024 Instructions https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/i1040gi--2024.pdf Sch 1 : https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s1--2024.pdf Sch 2 : https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s2--2024.pdf Sch 3 : https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s3--2024.pdf   2024 EIC and Tax Tables https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/i1040tt--2024.pdf Then when you do file 2025 enter 0 for the 2024 AGI since you are filing 2024 late. You have to print and mail prior year returns. When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS received the return. Don’t forget state.
