Actually--you just did what I tried to explain to you originally by going to your Mac Settings and Display.   Glad it worked for you.

If you worked as an independent contractor and were paid at least $600 for your services, they should issue a 1099NEC to you.  If you made even $400 you are required to file a tax return and pay self-employment tax for Social Security and Medicare--even without a tax document.   If you have self-employment income for which you will pay self-employment tax for Social Security and Medicare,  you will need to use online Premium software or any version of the desktop software download so that you can prepare a Schedule C for your business expenses.     https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/self-employed/help/how-do-i-report-income-from-self-employment/00/26653   https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/self-employed/help/what-is-the-self-employment-tax/00/25922   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/import-export-data-files/enter-self-employment-business-expenses-like-home/L1k6HJY4A_US_en_US?uid=m6jrthmp     If you live in a state with a state income tax, you might need to make estimated payments to your state.   https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tips/small-business-taxes/the-home-office-deduction/L1RZyYxzv https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/estimated-taxes/make-estimated-tax-payments/L5svMESaC_US_en_US?uid=mdna5aoh     https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/calculators/self-employed/   https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/business-taxes/discussion/self-employed-don-t-miss-these-tax-moves/00/3400413     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/import-export-data-files/enter-schedule-c/L5Fz3j5us_US_en_US?uid=m6a6gknk   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/payroll-additions-deductions/qualify-qualified-business-income-deduction/L0rM2cIIQ_US_en_US?uid=m5zpoxad   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/self-employment-taxes/self-employed-expenses-deduct/L37ZS1B8T_US_en_US?uid=m6fntpg7

I have Sequoia MacOS.  The above suggestions do not work for TurboTax on my Mac; there's no "format" icon or button.  However, after talking to Apple TS, we were able to change the text size on TurboTax by changing the display resolution.  Open the TurboTax (Mac) app, go to System Settings, then Displays, then turn on "show all resolutions".  Select a resolution lower than what you have been using.  My default setting was 3072x1728.  I selected 2560x1440 (high res, not low resolution).  This was my comfort text size.  You choose what works for you.  I hope this works for you.

Are you certain H&R Block does not offer a similar deduction software?  I was told that the DeductionPro for 2025 is included in its Premium & Business (Home & Business) edition

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/ Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)   If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Thanks.   "Yes, you can deduct medical costs for yourself, your spouse, and your dependents, even if provided overseas.   If I choose to file as HoH with my US citizen baby as a dependent, can I still deduct out-of-pocket expenses for my foreign national spouse on hospitals, Dr offices, vaxes, Rx...etc when the services/meds are provided by non-US citizens/institutions overseas ?

After TT 25 Premier updated last week, every time I log in it is asking for an activation key.  I've now used up 2 of the 5 allowable.  I keep adding the same key but it still keeps asking. It was fine before the last update.   Anyone else seeing this?  How to fix?  I'm using the desktop on Win 11.

What do you mean a dependent parent?  Are you the parent of a small child but also a dependent of your parents?  Or a dependent of a live-in partner?  More information might help.   If you are a W-2 worker and your only income is $3000, you do not need to file a return.  If you had tax withheld, you can file a return only to claim a refund of the taxes.  You can't claim your child as a dependent and you can't claim any other tax benefits.  If you do, then you can no longer be claimed as a dependent by someone else, such as your parent or partner.    If you are self-employed, you must file a return because your self-employment income is more than $400.  You will pay 15% self-employment tax (the equivalent of social security and medicare tax on a regular paycheck).   You do not have to pay income tax, but you still have to pay self-employment tax.  As long as you claim no credits or dependents on the income tax part of the return, you can still be claimed as a dependent by someone else even though you are paying self-employment tax.

Thanks, drilling into one of the data input sections on the right side of screen opened up more options. I didn't initially see the Tax Tools as I had to scroll down within the mid-section of the menu to find Tax Tools. Once there I was able to use the Tools submenu to initiate a clear/reset of my 2025 taxes. All good now.   Much appreciated!

I understand your frustration----I have macular degeneration and need large font and lots of contrast---but I have  been able to enlarge the font size and the contrast by using the settings on my own Mac.  See if this helps: Yay google ...   Change font sizes within the Fonts window on Mac In an app on your Mac, choose Format > Show Fonts or Format > Font > Show Fonts. In the Fonts window, click the Action pop-up menu , choose Edit Sizes, then do any of the following: Add a font size: Type a new size, then click the Add button . ... Click Done. https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/change-font-sizes-fonts-window-mac-mchlp2418/mac
The Mac settings do not affect TurboTax text; only the Mac text.
