The issue is with the software. It considers me covered for a retirement plan while I am not covered. How can I fix that I am not covered by a retirement plan?
revised carryforward amounts must be manually entered on the next year's tax return, if you did not start that return by importing the revised previous tax return.

"If you e-file your return but choose not to report each transaction on a separate row on the electronic return, you must attach Form 8949 to Form 8453 (or the appropriate form in the Form 8453 series) and mail the forms to the IRS."   IRS - Instructions for Form 8949 (2024)   "Use Form 8453 to send any required paper forms or supporting documentation listed next to the checkboxes on Form 8453."   Form 8453 - U.S. Individual Income Tax Transmittal for an IRS e-file Return   Since you DID list each transaction separately, you do NOT need to mail in Form 8949 nor Form 8453.
If that is true then I am doomed as I have both.

You can apply for a payment plan (Form 9465) at the IRS Payment Plans and Installment Agreements website. Make sure you've filed your return before applying through their site.   Most states offer an installment payment plan as well, although the procedure varies from state to state. You can contact your state Department of Revenue for details.   The IRS does charge a user fee for setting up or reinstating an installment agreement. I am experiencing this same issue.  I have RRSP contributions to report for both periods of 2024 (Mar-Dec 2024 and Jan-Feb 2025).  I am trying to designate all of my RRSP contributions as a HBP repayment, but I am receiving this error message: You can't designate unused RRSP contributions made in (2023) or before, or designate contributions that you make to your spouse or common-law partner's RRSPs or specified pension plan (SPP), as repayment for HBP and/or LLP   The total I am designating as HBP repayment is the same as my total contributions for 2024.  If I report all of my RRSP contributions in one period (Mar-Dec 2024) then I don't receive the error message, but if I do that then my tax return will not match my RRSP contribution receipts.  Will this bug be resolved in time to file?  Thanks

On TurboTax 2025 Desktop Windows I was not offered a chance to review Federal underpayment penalty.  I did receive this notice for the State of Michigan return when I got to that point.   I only noticed the Federal penalty at that point as I was looking at the year-over-year comparison summary.

You can file your extension at our Easy Extension website.   An extension gives you until October 15, 2025 to file your taxes instead of the tax deadline of April 15, 2025. You must file an extension by April 15, 2025 to get extra time to file your taxes without a penalty. There's no further extension past October 15, 2025. An extension does not give you extra time to pay your taxes, which are due on April 15, 2025. Even if you can't pay your taxes by the deadline, file an extension anyway so you can avoid the late-filing penalty.   How do I file an IRS tax extension?   How do I file an extension for my personal state taxes?
