This answer doesn't work any more since you took away It's Deductible.  I want to import my downloaded CSV file, but don't see an option.  Help!  or is it time to change tax software since you are making our filing so much more difficult?
It is common to take up a week or more for the IRS to accept/reject a tax return - especially during peak times, aka filing season.   Some states may show pending for 1-3 weeks..

I ran into the same problem (TTax 2025, Deluxe, download). I have one dependent and it computed the EIC using no dependents.   I FOUND THE BUG - The Turbotax interview tells me my daughter is a dependent, but internally she is not. Here is why.   If you go to FORMS and look at the EIC worksheets (there are two), you can see exactly what TurboTax is using as dependent data. In my case, my daughter is age 24 (birthdate 9/7/2001) but Turbotax did not ask me if she is a full time student (she is). So the EIC worksheet shows that she is not a full time student. That is the problem (in my case).   Note that the Turbotax interview tells me that she IS a dependent.   The Forms EIC worksheet will not allow me to change the Form (to check the box for full-time-student), and the interview did not ask the question.   The proof that this is the problem is that if I fool Turbotax by changing her birthdate to make her 17 years old, then Turbotax does correctly compute the EIC based on one dependent.

My updated TurboTax Deluxe 2025 won't let me electronically file the New State IT-201 because a review error  states: "Form 1099-R : Box 14a For electronic filing, New York State withholdings can not be greater than or equal to gross distribution or state distribution."   On my 1099-R, the Gross Distribution (Box 1) is far greater than the amount in the State tax withheld entry (Box 14, there is no Box 14a) and the State distribution (Box 16) is blank on the form. I believe this is a program error. If I blank the form's Box "14a", I will not get my entitled refund. If I leave it alone, I can not file.  New York State requires e-file only, so paper submission is out. How do I get this issue resolved?
Would it be helpful for you to see what these same screens looked like when we did the 2024 tax return: I hope to hear back from you soon as to what I can d

Doesn't show up in my Adobe reader, but if I open it with Adobe Photoshop (for which I have a license with an older version) I can see it. Pretty irritating. But at least it is there.

Thank you for your reply, however, if it was necessary to segregate the federal returns by Account because one family member might not want to share their information with other family members, (let's say for a family of 5 as the example shows in the License agreement) it is not possible to do that using the same email name. In this example, the family of 5 would have to each purchase their own license for each of their Accounts which of course defeats the purpose of being able to file 5 federal returns? Paragragh1.2 goes on to say that "Only 1 federal return may be filed per account, and no more than five (5) accounts and five (5) corresponding federal returns may be created, purchased and filed using anyone email address". I think this sentence is in error since the Turbo Tax software can allow for up to 5 federal returns (per Account) that can be be filed (efiled) with the IRS.

We have tested and confirmed the experience you have seen. It would be helpful to have a TurboTax ".tax2025" file to test this issue further.   If you would be willing to send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information, please follow these instructions:    In TurboTax Desktop, open your return and go to Online in the TurboTax header. (On a Mac computer, choose Share or Help.) Choose Send Tax File to Agent. You will see a message explaining what the diagnostic copy is.  Click Send on this screen and wait for the Token number to appear. Reply to this thread with a screenshot of your Token number (this avoids Community filters for numbers with a dash) and tag (@) the Expert requesting the token from you. Please include any States that are part of your return - this is VERY important. If we are able to determine the cause, we'll reply here and, if possible, provide you with a resolution.

By "early" did you mean early January before the IRS opens for the year in late January, did you mean just early in general after the IRS opens?   As @SteamTrain mentioned, filing in early January before the IRS opens can create problems for some early filers and can delay processing or require an amended return which can take weeks to process   As for "any" benefit, other than "potentially" receiving a refund sooner (if all goes well), here's another benefit:    If one is worried about ID theft, then one benefit of efiling soon after the IRS opens would be to prevent someone else from efiling a return (or at least making it more difficult for them.)    While that may help to some extent, the best way to protect one's tax return is to start using an IP PIN (6-digit Identity Protection PIN) each year.  The IRS does allow people to opt-in to that program voluntarily.  Once opted-in, you have to retrieve a new one every January from your online IRS account.  Those who voluntarily opt in can typically also opt out, using the IRS online account.   NOTE:  People who file early and have the Earned Income Credit (EIC) or the ACTC (Additional Child Tax Credit) can still have a delay in their processing.   By law (PATH Act), the IRS cannot start to release those refunds for those with those credits until February 16.   So many with those credits will not receive their refunds until late February/early March.
