The problem might be with the phone number unless the same is used with the e-mail address. Even though the same e-mail is used, your sion's return must be done in its own account using a unique user ID. If done in your account, the second return done permanently and irretrievably deletes the first return.

In TurboTax Online, I cannot figure out a way to make a Roth IRA distribution of basis with Code T in Box 7 of Form 1099-R non-taxable on a New Jersey resident return. However, if you are using TurboTax Desktop there is a work around in the Forms view. While in the return:
Click on the Forms icon in the upper right of your screen
In the list of "Forms in My Return" on the left, locate and click on "Pension Wks..." for the Pension/IRA worksheet.
Locate your Roth IRA distribution and under "Check if Non-Taxable" check the box.
If you are using TurboTax Online and want to switch to the Desktop program, you can do so and transfer all of your Online data to Desktop, so you won't have to start over or lose any information. See the following TurboTax article for instructions:

In working through this inability to e-file, there appears to be past advice to delete this W-2 and enter the employer contribution to the HSA directly into form 8889. It appears the TurboTax has negated that ability in my 2025 TT Premier desktop software. The fields to manually enter the employer contribution on line 9 or the Line 9 Smart Worksheet are "locked" out. This inability to enter the data manually is then putting me into the position where TT indicates that I cannot e-file due to box 1 being empty, yet there is data in box 12a. Come on, why was the prior year solution removed from 2025? Any suggestions here as my strong preference is to not have to send a voluminous filing into the IRS.

seems you're using desktop and forms mode. Right below the final k-1 box there is a box that should be checked to indicate the partnership was discontinued in 2025.
However, TurboTax still requires some info on the disposition worksheet. I know what you are saying but humor Turbotax or 1) find other software to do your return; 2) file by mail. 3) Complain that the programming should be changed, but don't hold your breath.

The reason for this is that if there were suspended losses, they will not be released unless termination is via a fully taxable transaction. In this situation, it's unlikely that there are any suspended losses
actually even a voluntary dissolution could result in a taxable transaction
so check complete disposition in taxable transction
check liquidate partnership interest which is what happen in this situation
enter dates ny you want they don't even have to be correct
enter 0 for sales price, basis and ordinary gain. i'm assuming there was no gain or loss on termination
nothing should appear on Fom 8949 or schedule D regarding this

If you have any blank fields, enter zero in those fields. Sometimes TruboTax wants a figure in the fields rather than leaving it blank.

When selecting Foreign Earned Income exclusion, of which I'm 100% eligible for, my exception was not the $130,000 value I expected. (Not bringing my owed amount to $0). All of my income is "foreign earned" and my yearly salary is less than the limit. Last year I had this same problem, and after reporting it, a patch solved the issue. I'm now experiencing the same problem, and phone support was less than useless.

Thank you so much, BillM223. According to your reply, "If you had wanted to avoid this whole issue of seeing the excess message, you would have needed to have one of your employers reduce the size of the code W amount, which they probably would not be willing to do, unless they may the error. " I assume the first employer is willing to help me. They can reduce Box12 W amount from 8678.74 to 7678.74 and the same time Box 1 amount of W-2, which is wage, increased by 1000. With this correction, this should any issues. Am I correct ? Thank you so much!

You may have some unfinished items in that section that TurboTax is wanting you to address. Go to the Income section and go to Miscellaneous Income and revisit the Long-Term care account distributions (1099-LTC) section and work through the screens to address the issue. Once you've gone through the screens, go back to the Final Review section to verify the issue has been cleared.
You might want to consider deleting that section completely, and re-entering it. Here's a link on how to delete a form in TurboTax Online:

Did you use Online TurboTax for 2024? If so, and if the info didn't transfer into Online 2025, then you may be in a different account. If you used desktop software for 2024, then you would need to transfer the data file from your desktop into Online TurboTax. We can tell you how if that's your situation. Otherwise, here's how to look for multiple accounts. To get a list of your User IDs, reset password, and recover account access, etc., you can use the tool at the link below. When using the Account Recovery tool, try using your phone number first if you can still access it. After that, if necessary, then run the tool on your email address(es) you can access. NOTE: Before running the account recovery tool below, log out of all Intuit accounts including this user forum, or you might end up in a loop. Then clear your browser Internet cache, close your browser, then reopen it, and go to the link below. You may wish to copy this link so you can paste it into the new browser session. https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery If still no luck after running that on your phone number you can still access and email address(es) that you can access, here's another method: Go back to the tool again, but this time leave the data field blank, scroll down a bit, then choose the small blue link that says "Try something else", and it will look you up by other parameters.

There is no way to e-file an amended federal return using 2024 TurboTax deluxe desktop at this time. The issues are the same as I reported 2 months ago On April 1, 2026 I again attempted e- filing an amended 2024 federal return using an up to date 2024 TurboTax deluxe desktop. It plainly indicates that "e-filing closed for the tax season on October 15, 2025". If you cotinue you will eventually find that it will loop forcing you to enter a 2025 date for signature date. When I tried a 2025 signature previously the return is rejected since you are submitting in 2026 Net is 2024 TurboTax does not allow you to e-file amened returns.

I am confused with your explanation about 1099-SA. I did request excess HSA distribution in 2025 and later I received a $1000.11 check from HSA custodian account. So at the year end, I received 1098-SA with box 3 code 2 for 2025 not for year 2024. There is an instruction in 1099-SA. Code 2 reports any excess contribution corrected that were processed against your account.

Review the 1099-R section to make sure you've indicated that the distribution is a QCD. Even if you itemize, the QCD shouldn't be shown on Sch A. Also, review your tax return to ensure that the QCD is being treated correctly and if not, go and review the 1099R section.
