It sounds like you made a text entry in one of these areas, but did not add any dollar amount (that's what goes on line 10a). Go back and review these two areas and make sure that you have deleted any text entries in these tables.

If you have business assets that are not fully depreciated or that you sold in the current year, you do need to include them on your tax return. If they are not fully depreciated you need to set them up for depreciation since it is a legitimate business expense and it will factor into the gain on assets sold or taken out of service in the future. If you sold assets, depreciation will factor into the gain and the tax on the gain from assets sold.
If you need to set up an asset for depreciation, you just need to enter the cost of the asset and year put into service and TurboTax will calculate the accumulated depreciation from prior years and then populate the applicable depreciation for the current and future years.

My 1099-MISC of an amount less than $100 is creating self employment tax and related questions. It is part of my consolidated 1099 from my investments. Is this right, or how do I get around it?

This seems to be a known problem, but it's getting close to 4/15 so hopefully there is a workaround . . . My 2025 state estimated tax payments (and, yes, I am not including those payments made in January of 2026 for this discussion) are not being included in itemized deductions (if they were, I would be using itemized instead of the standard deduction). I am using the online version of TurboTax. Help!

Since you believe you will get a refund from North Carolina, it would be best to wait until you get the corrected W-2 to file that tax return. You can file a federal extension that is also applicable for North Carolina or complete Form D-410 for North Carolina and mail it in. You will see an option to do the federal extension online when you log into your TurboTax program.

Turbotax says all one has to do is go through the whole questionnaire process, and all will be solved. But also suggest doing a search for HSA and find ANY and all forms related to this, and if possible, manually delete any extra contribution. To me, this is an outright flaw, and while we were able to file an amended return with IRS, we have been waiting over a year to get money back due to IRS errors, failure to address, stolen check…
