Former employee at Intuit actually. This is our first year filing 1099-NEC and Sch C due to my husband's work as a contractor with Betterhelp and it's proving to be more difficult than expected. I'm blocked from e-file due to this issue below. The 1099-NEC is linked to Sch C. I've investigated forms view and can't see which of the other forms I need to delete based on the error message. I don't see Sch F, Form 8919, nor Other Income Statement that I need to delete.   Please advise.

It depends. If your Forms view shows only two K-1s, but Schedule B is double-reporting the data, it usually boils down to a synchronization error between the entry worksheets and the final forms. Here are the most common issues and how to resolve them.   If you imported your K-1 data electronically and then manually tweaked an entry, the software sometimes creates a "hidden" duplicate worksheet.   The Fix: Go to the "Tax Tools" or "Forms List" and look for a worksheet titled something like K-1 Partner Wks. Check if there are two worksheets for the same entity name. Sometimes one is a "placeholder" from an import that didn't fully merge with your manual entry.   Manual Entry vs. Schedule B Links Tax software often allows you to enter interest in two places: directly on a Schedule B worksheet or within the K-1 entry screen.   The Issue: If you manually typed the interest into the Interest Income Worksheet (which feeds Schedule B) and entered it in Box 5 of the K-1 screen, the software may not be smart enough to realize they are the same payment.   The Fix: Check your Interest/Dividend "General" worksheets. If you see the K-1 issuer listed there as a standalone bank or entity, delete that specific line item. The K-1 entry should "push" the data to Schedule B automatically.   "Adjustments" or "Copy 2" Look closely at the Schedule B descriptions. Are the amounts identical down to the cent? If one has a slightly different name (e.g., "Company LP" vs "Company LP - Accrued Interest"), the software thinks they are distinct sources.   The Fix: In Forms Mode, click on the line in Schedule B that is the "extra" one. It should highlight a "Source" button or link. Click it to see exactly which worksheet is generating that specific line.   The "Check for Errors" Loop Sometimes, a corrupted "Estimated Entry" (data in red or italics) stays in the background calculations even after you've corrected the form.   The Fix: Save your file, close the program entirely, and restart. If that doesn't work, delete the K-1 entirely and re-enter it from scratch. It’s annoying, but it forces the software to clear the cached links to Schedule B.   @mwilcox1

Not sure where you are seeing that question.  When you enter income on a joint tax return, there is always a spot for each spouse on an income entry screen.  So when you enter the 1099G for unemployment, enter it under your own name if you are the one who received unemployment.     Some states will mail out the 1099G.  Or you might need to go to your state’s unemployment website and use the password, etc. that you have been using to certify for weekly benefits to get your 1099G from the state’s site.   Enter your 1099G in Federal>Wages & Income>Unemployment   Go through the screens very carefully, making sure  to enter any federal/state tax you had withheld from the unemployment. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/entering-importing/help/where-do-i-report-a-1099-g-for-unemployment-or-paid-family-leave/00/26530

If they are full-time students they can still be claimed as qualifying children on your own tax return and you are the one who can enter the education credits on your return.   They can still file their own tax returns to seek refunds of tax withheld from their paychecks but must say on their returns that they can be claimed as someone else's dependent.

Because you had basis in nondeductible traditional IRA contributions, a traditional IRA distribution in 2023 should have resulted in your 2023 tax return including Form 8606 to reduce the taxable amount of that distribution.  This is likely the result of not properly confirming in 2023 TurboTax your basis from line 14 of your 2004 Form 8606, as baldietax suggests.   I agree with baldietax that it seems that you need to amend your 2023 tax return to add Form 8606.  If no traditional IRA distributions occurred in 2024, the amount on line 14 of your 2023 Form 8606 carries forward to line 2 of your 2025 Form 8606.  If you did take a traditional IRA distribution in 2024, you'll need to amend that too, with line 14 of your 2023 Form 8606 carrying forward to line 2 of your 2024 Form 8606 and line 14 of your 2024 Form 8606 carrying forward to line 2 of your 2025 Form 8606.

What does it say on the IRS refund site?   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds
You do that by carefully following the instructions that are in the letter.

First of all, Arizona will bring the expenses over from your federal return. Arizona relies on the Federal Schedule E to "prove" your expenses. You don't re-list them on the 140NR.   As far as the small capital gain, you can allocate that amount to "0" in the Income Allocation Screen in your Arizona State return. The charitable contribution was brought over because Arizona offers  tax credits for donations made to specific Arizona charities (like Foster Care or Private School Orgs).   Depreciation was brought over because Arizona occasionally has different depreciation rules than the Federal government (specifically regarding "Bonus Depreciation" or Section 179). If you took a 100% bonus depreciation on the Federal level, Arizona may require you to "add back" that amount and then subtract a smaller, Arizona-allowed depreciation amount.   This is why the software is asking for those specific numbers—it’s trying to adjust the net amount it already pulled from your Schedule E.

No one can call you from the user forum, but you have just invited scammers to call you and pretend to be calling from TurboTax.   This is a public web site that can be seen by anyone—including scammers and would-be identity thieves who would love to contact you and pretend to be from TurboTax.  Please remove the personal information you posted here ASAP by returning to your post and clicking the three little blue dots on the upper right to edit your post.     TurboTax gets no information from the IRS after you file your tax return, so no one at TT knows that the IRS adjusted your refund or why it was adjusted.  The letter should explain the reason---read it carefully.
