Ahh.   Well, the 1099-R stuff is supposed to be released manana.  If you want to know the impact and are not going to file until you return, and if TurboTax does not release the 1099-R upgrade tomorrow, desktop users can go into the 1099 Form and do manual entries there.  That is what I did to get some idea of the impact for myself.   I do not know if the 1099-R Form option is available for online Turbo Tax folks or not.   Of course, do not file just using the Form for 1099-R.  You will need to revisit any entries made there through the usual 1099-R, IRA, etc. option on the Wage and Income section for verification.   FWIW.

Yes, they are included in Box 1 of my 1099-NECs. However, TurboTax is not asking me anything about tips when entering the 1099-NEC info or anywhere else in the Business Income section.

Well the income is $0, I don't typically file. So as hobby, it would go under Schedule 1- 8J, correct? So the AGI is only $604.10, as there is nothing else to put. And then I wouldn't owe anything at all because I am under my state's limit, which I believe is $11,950 for an individual. Looking at your page on the factors of whether it's a business. 1. I don't maintain books or records at all. The only info I have is whatever is shown on Vine itself in my history. Which is also subject to change at any time, as some of the items for 2025 are delisted on Amazon now and no longer available at all. Even to view or look at. 2. I don't put any more time or effort than necessary. I put in a basic review randomly within a few days or weeks after receiving the product. 3. I don't depend on it for livelihood or anything, since there is no revenue. 4. It's not really relaxing, it's most just to get some items that might be useful where I live (ie, a soap dispenser) 5. Nothing to fund the activity. I'm using an old PC to do it, and a home internet via a free hotspot from the phone my Medicaid insurance qualifies for. 6. I don't have any profit or loss, I would think. There is no revenue. 7. I don't do anything differently than I ever have. I randomly check Vine when I think about it. Get something that looks interesting. Nothing scheduled or on a fixed timetable. 8. I doubt I have the knowledge to carry this out as a business. 9. Never made a profit doing it, because I don't sell it for cash. Unless items themselves count as a profit? I'm not sure how this would work.  10. I don't expect any of this stuff to gain in value. It's either bad items that weren't worth the ETV to begin with, or it's items that'd be used until they are ready to be discarded.

If you are referring to the initial questions that you see in the beginning of starting your return, and you indicated that you made an IRA contribution but you did not, you do not need to go back to remove that from your tax breaks.  These initial questions are asked just to allow the program to present these sections to you later to get the data needed to report it on your return.   Instead, when you reach the Deductions & Credits section of your return, navigate to Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions, then click Start and answer the question No, you did not make IRA contributions.     This section of TurboTax is not finalized as of today for the latest tax laws.  If this is causing you a roadblock to completing your return at this time, you do have the option to clear and start over with your return.   For further information see the following TurboTax help article:   How do I clear and start over?

I purchased 2025 Home and Business back in November and am waiting for the Michigan forms. Why are they not part of the stated purchase package?...!

Go back though My Info and check all the dependent questions. A very common reason is you missed the question if their ssn is valid for employment. You need to say YES, it is valid for employment. And there is one that can be confusing….Was at least half of child's expenses paid by CHILD? Usually is NO, Child didn't pay for more than half of their living expenses. It's not asking if you paid more. If you still can't get it, I would delete the child under My Info and enter them again.

Fidelity is not showing for me between the institutions I can link to my turbo tax account (Turbo Tax Premium online). Last year, I had two accounts linked (me and my wife's accounts). This year, the accounts showed auto-import not available, I thought to delete them and add them back in case that fix it; for my surprise I cannot even link the accounts back because Fidelity it's not between the institutions I can link to my account.

Yes, the members and the LLC kept track of the capital investment but not in the software. Obviously not a tax professional, hence using the software to create the K-1s as it has always been a very simple straightforward entry for a single property with income/expenses in the past which generated the K-1s which then got entered into personal taxes. Thanks for explaining distributions are not taxed but the profit of the LLC and any capital gains beyond initial investment.  In my head, the distribution was taxed because it was the capital gain amount. When using software to do all the taxes, it is harder to recognize which numbers are doing what behind the scenes.
