I'm using TT Business for Complex Trust 1041 and Schedule K-1. I have Ordinary Dividends that I want allocated to the Trust on 1041 2.b(2). This trust has no requirement for income distributions and optional principal distributions are allowed. As soon as I identify a distribution to a beneficiary, TT changes the dividends allocation in 2.b from the Trust to the Beneficiaries. How do I keep TT from allocating the dividends to the Beneficiaries?

Check your passkey setting under accounts.intuit.com.
Once you are logged in:
Go to Sign in & Security.
Click on Passkeys.
If you see a passkey listed that you don't recognize (or if you just want to be safe), click Edit and then Delete.
While you are in the Security settings:
Change your password.
Look for Account Activity. This will show you the city, state, and type of device (like "iPhone" or "Windows PC") that recently logged in. If you see a location that isn't yours, someone else has your credentials.

In 2024, I had a marketplace plan that I did not cancel in time, and I was charged for it in January 2025. I did not utilize the plan in that month, and I was refunded the amount I paid. I was sent a 1095-A form for January 2025. Since the payment was refunded, I’m not sure whether I need to include it on my taxes. I have a call into Marketplace to ask but the wait is over an hour.

I am unable to duplicate the calculation on line 14 of form 2210AI in TurboTax Deluxe 2025 regardless of how I treat the annualization of Capital Gains and Qualified Dividends. Whether I annualize both, or either one alone or neither. TurboTax comes up with a lower tax than I do each quarter. Fortunately, I overpaid each of the first 3 "quarters" and our calculations agree on the final amt. (4th period). So I think I am safe from being assessed a penalty, but it bothers me that I can't deduce definitively what algorithm TurboTax is using. Does anyone know for sure how Turbo is annualizing Capital Gains and Qualified Dividends?

@JulieS In situations where you sold an item on behalf of someone else, but split the proceeds with them 50/50, how would you factor that into this example? (Is that perhaps what you mean when you say "You can also add the cost of the sale to your basis."?) Thanks!
