Yes. You should enter the information into TurboTax. While it may not be taxable on your Federal or state returns (especially if you took the Standard Deduction), TurboTax will run the calculations to see if any of it needs to carry over to your Form 1040. It's best to enter the 1099-G just to ensure your records match what the IRS has on file.

Here's how you can fix it:  Sign in to your account and select the Fix my return button. Follow any “fix it” instructions to update the information causing the rejection.    Note: Not all rejections will have explicit guides to fix the information. You’ll need to navigate to the program area to address the cause of the rejection.    Time-saving Tip: If what you originally entered is correct, you won't be able to e-file. There's probably a data mismatch at the government, a dependent that's already been claimed, or some other situation beyond your control that prevents your return from being e-filed. In this case, your only option would be to print and mail in your return. This article will give you instruction on how to print and mail your return.    Additional reject instruction here.

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities.  There is no rule as to which one will come in first or how long it will be between their arrival in your account.   TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst         If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act.  Do not expect your refund before early March   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US   Note:  “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”.  TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing.   Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing.  If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.   FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE: https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund How it works Where's My Refund shows your refund status: Return Received – We received your return and are processing it. Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown. Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

There's no rush so you can relax and make sure the amendment is correct before sending.   Do not change your tax return until you read all the instructions. For you, this means to remove or delete any entries before amending the tax return using the instructions.    TurboTax needs to know the original numbers and the corrected numbers to provide the correct end results before you prepare it.    If you want to make changes or add a document to a tax return that has already been filed and accepted by the taxing agency, you should follow these guidelines.    You must first wait until the initial return is completely processed. You will have to use the same TurboTax account that you used for the original tax return. Once you begin your amendment, you'll see your original return. The refund calculator will start new at $0 and only reflect the changes in the refund or tax due Only make changes to the areas of your return that need to be corrected. You have three years from the date you filed your return or two years after you paid the tax due (whichever is later) to file an amendment Amend a tax return for the current tax year

Step 1 of the TurboTax checkout process is where you review your order and pay your TurboTax fees. If your tax situation required you to upgrade to a different TurboTax product, that will be reflected in the price. You will also see any add-ons such as MAX Benefits.    See this article for the methods you can use  to pay your TurboTax fees.   Step 1 must be completed before proceeding to Steps 2 and 3 and filing your return.

When restarted it would not let me redo this section and now I missed the dateline, how can I fix this? Thanks so much!
TurboTax may prepare your School District return, but you'll need to mail it in to the proper agency.  The program doesn't file it for you.   @user17749828019
