If you are fully retired and do not have self-employment income, you can only deduct premiums as an itemized medical expense on Schedule A.   You can only deduct the portion of your total medical expenses (including premiums) that exceeds 7.5% of your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI).  If your standard deduction is more than your total itemized deductions, you will not be able to utilize the deduction.   To enter medical expenses in TurboTax, navigate to Federal Taxes/Federal > Deductions & Credits > Medical > Medical Expenses and follow the interview.

If you can even believe it, I spoke to a human at Cross River Bank. I left a message and they called me back. Told them the whole spiel. The gentleman i spoke to told me that they are Turbotax bank, much like Chase is my bank. So if a check comes into the account they know exactly where it goes BECAUSE IT'S THEIR BANK. He told me that TT already took their cut (of course they did) and that if a wrong number was entered INTUIT TURBOTAX sends a check. Crazy how TT acts like they have zero clue about the whereabouts of our money when they just move it from bank to bank. Cross River told me that the money is no longer in the account that had been made for me, so right now the burden is mine to go through h*ll and high water to find it, yet TT has it. Frustrating.

It seems that your state program is not installed.  Click 'Online' at the top and choose 'Download State'.  TurboTax closes once you choose your state, and when you re-open it, you should get an 'updating' message and your state will be installed.  Click on the State Taxes tab to start the interview.    TurboTax Desktop generally comes with one free state, which you choose.  If you purchased a state separately, Sign In to your Intuit account and go to Products > Downloads to download the state program.    @Jennifercazzola

Are you using TurboTax Online or TurboTax Desktop?   If you are using the TurboTax Desktop product, you can go into Forms mode (upper right) and look for the Pens Excl Wks under Colorado (Pension Exclusion Worksheet). This will show you how the pension exclusion that appears on DR 0104AD line 4 is calculated. There is a kicker in that the the "allowable Social Security exclusion" is calculated. Since the actual deduction is the lesser of the sum of the various pensions and IRA distributions, and 24,000 (for you) less the allowable Social Security exclusion, the actual exclusion may not have any component of your IRA in it.   I will say that on my test, the 15,000 from the IRA distribution appeared both in the Step-by-Step interview as well as on the Pens Excl Wks, but it had no impact on the final exclusion.   If you have the Online product, then you won't be able to see this worksheet until you pay for the product.   If you want to pursue this with your real data, I suggest you call TurboTax Support where, with your permission, they will be able to view your screen and see your actual data.
I'm having the same issue.  I contributed after-tax dollars to IRA for quite a few years.  TurboTax had always maintained my tax basis in the IRA, but is not working for 2025.
If you already filed and your returns have been accepted, just ignore the emails from an overactive marketing department.
I have received text messages and email telling me to return to finish and file. My federal return shows it is accepted. My state return shows it is pending.

Medical insurance premiums you paid out of pocket can be entered as a medical expense if you are itemizing deductions.   MEDICAL EXPENSES The medical expense deduction has to meet a rather large threshold before it can affect your return. The amount of medical (including dental, vision, etc.)  expenses that will count toward itemization is the amount that is OVER 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. You should only enter the amount that you paid in 2025—do not include any amounts that were covered by insurance or that are still outstanding.  Of course, your medical expenses plus your other itemized deductions still have to exceed your standard deduction before you will see a difference in your tax due or refund.   To enter your medical expenses go to Federal>Deductions and Credits>Medical>Medical Expenses       2025 STANDARD DEDUCTION AMOUNTS SINGLE $15,750  (65 or older/legally blind + $2000) MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY $15,750  (65 or older/legally blind +1600) MARRIED FILING JOINTLY $31,500  (65 or older/legally blind + $1600) HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD $23,625 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)
