Talked to TT. Here's the reason, I'm not able to view the 2210. Even though TT calculated a penalty, TT will not create a 2210 for printing/viewing because the Fed does not require the form unless I annualize my income, I've had a filing status change, or a couple of other reasons. I feel that they should provide the calculation for the penalty even though the Fed doesn't require it. They committed to report this as a defect/enhancement.

How to finish a return you started online https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/prior-year-return/help/how-do-i-finish-a-prior-year-return-that-i-started-in-turbotax-online/01/26322 Sorry, Online is only for 2025 now. Online for 2024 and prior is closed now so you can not start a new 2024 or prior return or finish one. You have to do each year separately How to prepare a prior year return https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/using-turbotax/help/how-do-i-prepare-a-prior-year-tax-return/00/25984 To do a prior year return you have to buy the Desktop program here, https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products For 2024 you will need Windows 10 or Mac Ventura 13 to install it on. If you can't install the Desktop program or if you have a simple return and want to file for free, you can fill out the blank IRS forms by hand. Here are some basic forms….. Here is the IRS 2024 Form 1040 https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040--2024.pdf or if you want bigger type use 1040SR for Seniors, https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s--2024.pdf And 2024 Instructions https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/i1040gi--2024.pdf Sch 1 : https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s1--2024.pdf Sch 2 : https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s2--2024.pdf Sch 3 : https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s3--2024.pdf Then when you do file 2025 enter 0 for the 2024 AGI since you are filing 2024 late. You have to print and mail prior year returns. When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS received the return. Don’t forget state.

I see this is a RECURRING problem going back at least SIX years. I successfully imported 2 packages from Ameriprise. The third one repeatedly gets the same error: We didn’t find the right account types to connect at this provider. We can connect to Ameriprise Financial but can’t find the right kind of accounts. Select an account at a different provider. (106) Please advise. Don't ask if I have the PKG ID and DOC ID right. The problem is not user error.

If you sold the vehicle you were using in your business in 2024, the sale should have been reported on your 2024 tax return. You can amend your 2024 return to resolve the issue, as you may have realized a taxable gain or deductible loss.
To report the sale of a Schedule C business vehicle in TurboTax, navigate to the Business Vehicle Expense section under your business income, edit the vehicle, and indicate it was sold, traded, or disposed of. You will need to report the sale date, sales price, original cost, and total depreciation taken over the life of the vehicle to calculate any gain or loss.
The sale of your business vehicle is reported on Form 4797 Sales of Business Property which would then flow to Schedule D Capital Gains and Losses.
Review your Schedule C Business entries in TurboTax.
You should have set up the vehicle as an asset when you set up your business.
If you didn't, you'll have to do that before you can "sell" the vehicle in TurboTax.
To get to that section of TurboTax:
Open or continue your return
Search for schedule c and select the Jump to link in the search results
Edit the vehicle.
When you get to the Tell Us More About This Asset/Large Purchase screen, select The item was sold, retired, stolen, destroyed, disposed of, converted to personal use, traded in, or given away (or it's no longer being used in this business for some other reason).
Continue with the onscreen interview until complete.

I got an extension and probably won't file until months from now. I was hoping the Turbotax would update the program to include this functionality before I need to file....?

You’ll see your refund or taxes by clicking the Federal Review section of TurboTax Online. This usually causes the refund and tax meters to appear in the top left corner of your screen.
Another option:
select Tax Tools near the bottom of the left-hand menu.
Select Tools.
Click View Tax Summary from the pop-up window to see a breakdown of your current federal and state totals.
Keep in mind that Turbo Tax shows your totals only after you've added all your income, deductions, and credits. This keeps things simple and accurate, instead of updating them along the way.

No income, but for federal return, I am receiving the American Opportunity credit. So I still don't need to file for my state?
