Don't quote me but I just heard from an Adminstrator "by the end of the day". So keep checking. If you have the Desktop program you can enter the 1099R directly using the Forms Mode. But when the program is updated you need to go back though all the 1099R interview questions to the end of the section.

If you will no longer have a dependent that makes you eligible for child-related credits then you can adjust the W-4 you give to your employer and have more tax withheld going forward to avoid a big tax bill at the next tax time.
Of course, if you owe for 2025, it is what it is, and you must pay your tax due by April 15, 2026.

As per xmasbaby above, there are many things that affect your refund amount. You can review your tax return and see if there are any errors in inputting your information.
To preview your return to see if there were any errors, follow the instructions below. Make sure all income items have been properly reported and any income tax withheld (shown on your W-2's for example in boxes 2 &17) is correct. Your Federal Income Tax withheld from all documents (W-2's, 1099'2 etc,) should match line 25d of your Form 1040.
To preview your Tax Return in TurboTax desktop, you can:
Switch to Forms Mode by clicking on "Forms" in the blue bar at the top right of your TurboTax screen.
Scroll through your forms in the left panel and
Click on "Form 1040".
To preview your Tax Return in TurboTax Online you can:
Go to "Tax Tools" in your left panel,
Select "Tools" and then
Select "View Tax Summary" and
Select "Preview Form 1040"
Keep in mind that there are many factors involved to determine what you owe for federal taxes, or if you owe more federal taxes than you expected.
These include the following:
Additional Income:
Did you have any new sources of income?
You made more money at your job, such as overtime.
If you work multiple jobs, you may have to change your withholding.
Did someone in your household start working or change jobs?
The TurboTax W-4 Withholding Calculator is a free tool to help you find the right withholding.
Less Deductions:
Did you donate less to charity?
Did you not make an IRA contribution?
Did you move to another state?
Did you have less medical expense deductions or less mortgage interest?
Fewer Credits:
If your income has increased, your Earned Income Credit may have gone down.
Did you have education credits that have gone down or ended?
Did your Child and Dependent Care credit change? You had more income or your children were older.
Was your Child Tax Credit affected by your income or the age of your children?
Filing Status:
Changing your filing status has a big impact on your taxes.
If you have changed your filing status from married filing jointly to married filing separately it will have a big impact on what you owe.
If you experienced any of these changes during the tax year it would have impacted what you owe.

If your return shows that you owe and TurboTax previously showed that you were due a refund, it may be that the program was still updating based on your inputs and the amount owed that showed when you filed was the correct number based on your tax return information in its entirety.
You can preview your return to see if there were any errors. Make sure all income items have been properly reported and any income tax withheld (shown on your W-2's for example in boxes 2 &17) is correct. Your Federal Income Tax withheld from all documents (W-2's, 1099'2 etc,) should match line 25d of your Form 1040.
If you determine there was an error on your tax return, you can amend your return after it has been fully processed (i.e. it has been accepted by the IRS and you have paid what you owed.
To preview your tax return in TurboTax desktop, you can:
Switch to Forms Mode by clicking on "Forms" in the blue bar at the top right of your TurboTax screen.
Scroll through your forms in the left panel and
Click on "Form 1040".
You can get to your Tax Return in TurboTax Online as follows:
Go to "Tax Tools" in your left panel,
Select "Tools" and then

Well, here it is 1/21/2025 and still not able to enter 1099R data and have it show up in my tax calculations. I entered everything I had in the 1099Rs that were a holdover from my 2024 return and while the data was captured, it doesn't show up in the Step-By-Step process and doesn't show up in the tax calculation. Who is responsible for this delay? To the casual observer, it would seem that last year's software should suffice for capturing the 1099R data and including it in the tax calculation. Is there something else that's messed up? What? We should get an answer from Intuit, immediately, that explains why a standard part of the TT software is not working.
