Be patient.
IF you e-file now, your return will go into “pending” until the IRS starts to accept/reject returns in late January. You cannot make any changes while the return is on the server. The IRS will start to accept/reject 2025 e-files on January 26. And….a state return cannot be accepted until after the IRS accepts your federal return.

I am having the same problem in transferring data from 2024 return. When I click on .tax2024 nothing happens, then when I try to "find it on my computer" all previous returns a light/shaded, not bold so they are unaccessable. I think something is wrong with program if this is a common problem.

In my opinion, if you are going to an in-person tax preparer, you are usually better off going to a preparer that is not part of a "chain" of stores. Knowledge and service are usually better at non-chain businesses, and price is often comparable (or in some cases, less). Ask your friends and family for recommendations, and ask them WHY they recommend that particular person.

Hello, I do have a contractor who use to do some works for my small business overseas and he is living in UAE, I want to file 1099 (as I paid him for work done for my business). He does not have a US address now, the question is which address to put in the 1099? Since he is filling his taxes as non US resident.
