It is not part of the standard deduction, and it is not a "tax credit."   It is a bonus deduction on a separate line.  Here's more info on how to view it.  NOTE:   The new deduction starts to phase out for single taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $75,000; $150,000 for joint filers.   For seniors age 65 and older and who meet the other qualifications for the new Enhanced Senior Deduction, TurboTax automatically fills out Schedule 1-A in the background and then enters the amount of the deduction on the Form 1040, Line 13b.  It is not part of the standard deduction--it is a completely separate deduction on its own line.   If you are "married filing jointly" and both qualify, then you both get the new deduction.  If you are "married filing separately", however, you are not eligible.   Single filers, HOH filers, and qualifying surviving spouse, if they otherwise qualify, are eligible.   You appear to be using Online TurboTax--at least that is what a tag shows underneath your question above.  If you are still preparing your online return, and want to verify that you received that new senior deduction, here's how you can preview the Form 1040 and confirm you are getting the enhanced senior deduction.   If you already printed out a copy of your return, you can view the Form 1040, Line 13b and Schedule 1-A where it was calculated.  If still preparing your return, here's how to preview it:   With your return open go to the left column menu, and click on TAX TOOLS, then subtab TOOLS. In the Tools window choose "View Tax Summary." On that Tax Summary screen you should see that you are getting "Additional Deductions (Schedule 1-A)." Then, while still on that Tax Summary screen,  you can further verify it by going over to the left column menu and under Federal clicking on "Preview my 1040."  That opens up the Form 1040 Worksheet.    Scroll down to Line 13b, and the figure there includes the enhanced senior deduction from the Schedule 1-A. And while you are there, you should see your standard (or itemized) deduction on Line 12e.

If your scheduled IRS direct debit has not occurred, keep the funds in your bank account, as the IRS can process it late. Wait 7-10 days after your return was accepted before taking action. If the debit is delayed, verify your payment information in your tax return, check your IRS online account for updates, or contact IRS e-file Payment Services at 1-888-353-4537.   Pay taxes by electronic funds withdrawal   @arnabroy_007
It means the extension you filed was rejected - because it was previously filed.   Do you have multiple accounts, maybe you sent it from a different account?  How can I view all my TurboTax accounts?
The second one will be returned since the first went through. The IRS only accepts one 1040 per person. No worries, you are filed and in good shape!

I filed my taxes and they were accepted. And in TurboTax, I elected to have the amount owed to the IRS withdrawn from my bank account on April 15. How do I confirm payment that this was signaled to IRS and it will be withdrawn? Note, there is no “Filing Instructions” on the first page of the return so going there doesn’t answer the question.

IRS Publication 970, Tax Benefits for Education states that nontaxable distributions should not be entered. The 529 is not taxable when used on eligible expenses along with qualified room and board. If you do have a taxable distribution, enter whatever offsets part of the Q. You probably just want to enter the 1098-T for the education credit if you qualify and have $4k of wiggle room. Ceck to see if you qualify for any college credits. Currently: For the full credit, your MAGI (modified adjusted gross income) is less than $80,000 ($160,000 if you're filing jointly) For a reduced credit, your MAGI is between $80,000 and $90,000 ($160,000 and $180,000 if you're filing jointly) There is no credit given if your MAGI is above $90,000 ($180,000 if you’re filing jointly) If you : qualify to claim education credit, your goal is $4,000 spent on tuition for maximum credit. The IRS allows juggling numbers. We can dig into your situation to figure out the best method for you and your student.  Qualified Education Expenses - Internal Revenue Service: Enter the 1098-T with $4,000 tuition and zero scholarship to get the program to easily give the correct credit. The 1098-T is informational and need not be entered as received. You don't need to enter anything  for expenses.   On student return: Enter the 1098-T with the remainder of the tuition (after the $4,000 you took out) and any scholarship amount.  Enter additional expenses, books, other required expenses. There may or may not be a small tax liability. don't qualify: No credit  on your return. No need to enter the 1098-T. If you need extra time, filing an extension by April 15, 2026, moves your submission deadline to October 15. But remember any taxes owed are still due in full by the original April 15 date.  Pay through either Direct Pay or your individual online account. See if you need to file a state extension. @k1o5
The 1040-X is created when you start the amendment.   Go to Forms mode,  you should see the form in the forms list.   How do I save my return as a PDF in TurboTax Desktop?

What year did you mean, and what kind of PIN--?   If it's the 5-digit signing PIN (aka "self-select PIN" or "prior-year PIN),  you can enter a new one with any 5 digits of your choice (except cannot be all zeros.)   Or is it a 6-digit IP PIN (Identity Protection PIN)?   If the latter, and if you are required to use one, we can give you more info on retrieving and using that.   So please clarify your situation.
