For Online TurboTax, here's a tool that should get you directly to the section for estimated tax payments made for 2025. I've also provided an alternate navigation method in a comment that follows this one. With the return open, go to the left menu column and click on TAX TOOLS, then the subtab TOOLS. In the Tools Center choose the blue button Topic Search. In the topic search line enter the phrase estimated tax payments without quotes. Make the selection in the list (it may already be highlighted), and either double-click it or click the GO button. Next screen is Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid. Use the subtopic Estimated Tax Payments. Choose the appropriate category and tax year you are reporting (Federal, state, local) and click START or Revisit. NOTE: Before filing, make sure your Federal estimated tax payments correctly show on the Form 1040, Line 26, and that any state estimated tax payments (if applicable) show up on your state return.

Report excess salary deferrals (excess 403b contributions) returned to you after the end of the tax year but by April 15th of the following tax year on your 1040 as Wages. Do not create your own 1099-R for this situation.
Page 10 of IRS Pub 525 under Excess deferrals (the IRS term for 401K contribution is deferral) tells us:
If your deferrals exceed the limit, you must notify your plan by the date required by the plan. If the plan permits, the excess amount will be distributed to you. If you participate in more than one plan, you can have the excess paid out of any of the plans that permit these distributions. You must notify each plan by the date required by that plan of the amount to be paid from that particular plan. The plan must then pay you the amount of the excess, along with any income earned on that amount, by April 15 of the following year. You must include the excess deferral in your income for the year of the deferral. File Form 1040 or 1040-SR to add the excess deferral amount to earned income on line 1h.
What you earned on the excess contribution will be covered by a 1099-R for the following tax year and will be entered then as a normal 1099-R.
Below is how to do this in TurboTax Online:
Click on Federal in the left-hand column, then on Wages & Income
Navigate to the list of income categories
Locate the section Less Common Income
Select Miscellaneous Income and click Start
Select Other income not already reported on a Form W-2 or Form 1099 and click on Start
Answer the question "Did you receive any other wages? Yes
Click through the questions till you get to Any Other Earned Income
Answer Yes to Did you earn any other wages?
Indicate Other as Source of Other Earned Income and click Continue
For the description enter "2024 Excess 403b Deferrals" and click on Done

They are NY issues which include the pension exclusion plus more rendering an incorrect incorrect tax bill. The program doesn't allow me to make edits/changes and so it's even difficult to assess all the precise problems beyond that. Moreover, the telephone contact number only has an outgoing message rendering customer service an illusion, I will be asking/expecting a refund.

One other question. We were assessed an excess advance PTC repayment (Form 8962). Part of the assessment is tax-deductible since it is treated as excess payment for health-care insurance (IRS Publication 974). There are several worksheets that you work through to calculate how much of the PTC can be deducted. I don't expect you to be an expert related to Publication 974. My question is, based on the worksheet calculation, we are instructed to add the deduction to Schedule 1 Line 17. How can we do that and still file electronically?

@WearyTaxee you are trying to solve multiple issues at the same time and you'll need to be more specific. You'll need to resolve the dependency requirements first. Is your daughter your dependent? if yes, your granddaughter CANNOT be your daughter's dependent. Your daughter could not file HOH in that circumstance. Use this tool to determine a) is your daughter your dependent? b) is your granddaughter your dependent? c) is your granddaughter a dependent of her mother? run the tool three times, once to answer each question. once you resolve that please post back with the results. Then we can tackle the granddaughter's scholarship situation. https://www.irs.gov/help/ita/whom-may-i-claim-as-a-dependent
