Thank you for your quick respond.  One more question please.  In the TT 'Proceeds' section, it described as after expense deduction.  My 1099-S box2 shows 'Gross Proceeds' (selling price without any deduction for expense).  Should I put Box2 value into the TT 'Proceeds Section'?  Total Amount Paid=buying cost + closing + upgrade to the property.  Finally, use  'I have more..' to fill all expense related to closing?  Thanks in advanced.
On the "Your tax breaks" page the total is ~45,000. On the next page it chooses Standard Deduction of 31,000 because it excluded the Mortgage Interest.

We can help you post your 1095-A.That depends.    TurboTax does not provide the 1095-A.  It is issued by the marketplace to show you had insurance and to evaluate the discount you may have received.   To enter a 1095-A in TurboTax, you can follow these steps               Select Tax Tools On the drop-down select Tools There will be 2 green boxes Select Topics Search Type the 1095-A Continue through the questions and it will be posted to your return. On the 1095-A, you should not enter "0" zeros.  This will cause a Review Error.  Simply leave the area blank.  If you have wuestions Please see Health Insurance Marketplace Statements
The individual health insurance says it still needs review but I have answered all of the questions and repeated it multiple times but nothing fixes it

DoninGA, This is an EXCELLENT tip ! Wish I had seen it before I wasted over an hour, frustrated to find out that TT desktop does not allow online filing of the extension, the likely reason being to drive people to their more profitable online products. I ended up very reluctantly entered my soc sec at TT Extension webpage in order to file my extension, again thanks to TT desktop NOT importing more than ONE 1099-Bs from the same brokerage firm !!!
Can you please clarify your question. Are you having issues with a specific section of the software, or do you need assistance entering missing information?

Brokerages keep track of things now days. In the past, a brokerage was not required and brokerage buy outs often lost track if they did know. You have two forms, one for required bookkeeping and one for before those years - phase in was 2011-2014 depending on the security. The unknown tells me it was years ago. You have two options: claim zero basis and pay tax on the whole amount  determine a best effort estimate: look for reinvested dividends - each share increased your cost basis check historical prices check the mutual fund company - the broker might not know but the fund might, you can call shareholder services. make a reasonable estimate and make note of how you determined it  any basis beats no basis
