Currently, TurboTax supports the manual entry of IRS Form 1099-DA. We are in the process of enhancing our CSV import and upload features to make this process more seamless. Timeline: We expect the new CSV import functionality to be available soon. Please note that this is an estimated target as we finalize the experience. Supported Documents: Once live, the import/upload feature will support both 1099-DA and DigitalAssetGainLoss files. If you are ready to file now, you can still enter your information manually. Otherwise, thank you for your patience while we get these automated tools ready for you!

If you don't have any nondeductible basis and you're taking a regular distribution, you don't need Form 8606. That section shouldn't be required. If you are 100% certain you have never made a nondeductible contribution and have no basis:   Revisit the IRA Contribution Section: Go to Deductions & Credits > Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions. Verify "No" to Basis: Ensure you have not entered a "Prior Year Basis" from a previous Form 8606. Delete Form 8606: If the screen still won't leave you alone, delete Form 8606. Go to Tax Tools Tools Delete a form Delete From 8606 If you are using the software, go to the form mode in your program. Look for Form 8606 on the left-hand side of your screen.  Select it, and then delete it when it appears on your screen by selecting delete form at the bottom of the page.

You brought up a great point TURBOTAX NEVER EMAILED US when we signed up to be notified. To all the “experts” who replied to us saying arbitrary responses, for example “this is the link to sign up for notification”, it was worthless. We never received any notification that the feature was ready. Thank you so much for this post. Sharing our experiences may or may not matter for TurboTax. A FMV calculator has been added, but it does not have the same functionality as ItsDeductible.    We at Intuit TurboTax want our users to be completely delighted with their experience using our products and services, and successful in their financial lives and businesses. Once you file your return, as long as the settings to receive communication from Intuit don’t block it, you will see a pop-up message or receive an email with a survey asking you about your experience. We encourage you to leave your notes and comments there. “Voice of the Customer” notes and comments are read and acted upon.  If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can also leave feedback at the Final Steps tab.

After sitting on a call with Intuit support for almost 3 hours, I tinkered around and figured out a way to get past this error.  The logic may seem nonsensical, so bear with me.   In your Georgia state return, follow these steps: Income Other Additions to Georgia Income EDU EXP ADJ $ amount approved from your GA SSO Credits Education Expense Credit - ***SKIP*** Business and Individual Credit 125. Qualified Education Expense Credit Your Name (& spouse) Certificate # from your GA SSO $ amount from your GA SSO Individual/Company ID Number [x] SSN ID Number (primary taxpayer’s SSN) Qualified Education Donation Tax Credit [x] No - (selecting yes will cause a Smart Check error) Georgia Business, K-1, and Other Schedule 2 Credit Carry Forward Years Remaining (5) When you continue forward, you reach the step Let’s check it over 1 item found Delete Donation Credit Amount (0.) [the field should be blank] Continue   Notes: • This method will NOT generate an IT-QEE-TP2, but GA has been accepting my returns without that form since 2021 • In prior tax years, I was able to set the Education Expense Credit contribution to $0 to get past the old error (duplicated Credits), but this no longer works
There is no such credit on a federal tax return.   You must be referring to a state credit.  What state are you in?   It will appear in the state software.

Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing or the timing when the IRS releases your refund.    Here is an FAQ about handling identity verification requests from the IRS.   The IRS states that most federal tax refunds are issued within 21 days of acceptance, however, some may take longer if they require additional review. Also, by law, the IRS cannot issue EITC or ACTC refunds before mid-February. This applies to your entire refund, not just the portion related to those specific credits.   Here are a few FAQs to help you track your refund: When will I get my federal tax refund? How do I track my state refund? Why does Where's My Refund say "approved" but TurboTax still says "accepted"? Why do some refunds take longer than others? What if my IRS refund is taking longer than 21 days?
