There is no longer any way to actually install or run TurboTax for 2020, unless you happen to have an old computer that already has it installed and working. Your other options are:
Prepare the amended return by hand.
Use other tax software that is still available for 2020. You would first have to recreate the original tax return in the other software, making sure that it exactly matches your original return. Then you could amend it.
Go to a local tax professional.
You didn't say why you are amending such an old tax return. It's too late to get a refund for 2020. If your amended 2020 tax return shows an additional refund, you will not get the refund. If it shows a payment due, you still have to pay it.

@AmyC wrote: Unfortunately, it was skipped more than 2 years which the IRS sees as adopting a new accounting method. That is incorrect. While the two years of an impermissible method can ESTABLISH an original Accounting Method, it does NOT CHANGE an existing Accounting Method. That can only be corrected by amending.

Also see the additional info that Expert @ SharonD007 left you above. We were typing at the same time. 😁 Or are you asking how/where to enter it in the Retirement Income section of TurboTax, which is the title of this thread?

Im pretty sure it said between 2-3 weeks delayed and I know what the form says. I came here to ask if this has happened to anyone else and was it just a random identity check or something else causing it to be flagged. I wanted to hear other experiences, not someone repeating what the form does or doesn’t say. I know that may sound crass but I am asking a legitimate question and repeating something like that is not helpful

I'm wondering if others are facing the same issue? I efiled Fed and CA state on March 12th. The Feds paid in 2-1/2 weeks. The state "where's my refund" page said "call if it's over 4 weeks". Well today, April 13th is over 4 weeks, I thought I'd check the website one more time before I called and it now says "Call if it's more than 3 months". In my over 40 years in this state it has progressively got worse and worse. Now they keep my refund - which is substantial due to overpayment of estimated taxes - interest free for another three months. It's a helluva way to run a railroad.

Technically, yes. Even if you did not receive a 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC, you would still need to report your income earned during the year, regardless if the IRS knows about it or not. The good thing is that you will not be charged Self-employment (SE) taxes on any net income under $400.

TurboTax summarizes itemized deductions by aggregating the eligible expenses—such as mortgage interest, state/local taxes (SALT), and charitable donations onto Schedule A. TurboTax will compare this against the standard deduction, and automatically select the higher amount to maximize your refund.
