Have you gotten past entering direct deposit information? If you have a child that qualifies, you will initially see it mentioned after TurboTax says the child qualifies as a dependent, in a blue box. The information for the form is not entered until you are actually filing your return. You will be asked about this after you have entered direct deposit information. This is because it is not actually part of your return.    The Trump Account program doesn't officially begin until July 2026.   This TurboTax article will provide additional information.
Per my understanding line 4 has to be filled if 2025 contributions are done in 2026
I don't want to do my Turbo Tax filing for 2025 until I talk to someone about my incorrect 2024 return that you filed.
@snomobl3  Latest info from the TurboTax Moderators is that the desktop editions will have the updated Form 5695 available late Wednesday or early Thursday, 01/28 or 01/29

@daveflyer wrote: I would be OK with aggregating all items donated to a specific charity on a specific date if TurboTax Deluxe enabled me to "ADD SUPPORTING DETAILS" in the FORMS area for the CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION WORKSHEET.  That would convince me that my information is correct and that there's enough detail for the IRS if they choose to review my item donations.  Note that I have at least a half-dozen donations (specific charity, specific date) that contain a number of significant items where the donation total for that charity/date is over $400 but under $500. It does, or it did for me.   This is what I did (Turbotax Desktop on my computer, Mac version if that matters.)   First, I deleted all the worksheets for charities I did not donate to this year. Second, I entered all the money (cash, credit card, check) donations for all my charities. Third, I entered non-cash items.  I had about 8 donations to Goodwill and 3 to Habitat For Humanity.   For each donation, I picked "household good and clothing" from the drop down menu, entered a value, and picked either "comparative sales" or "thrift shop prices" from the valuation menu.  After clicking Next, the next screen asked for more details about the items.  It was here that I could enter "Christmas decorations" or "used clothing" or "chandelier".  I finished that item, and then clicked "Add a donation" to add another item donation to the same charity for a different day.  Repeat as needed.  When my item total went over $500, Turbotax started asking for the address of the charity as required for form 8283.   After that, I have saved, restarted, and worked on other sections, and nothing in charities has changed.  I did not perform the experiment of going back into Charities to try and add or change something -- no point in causing pain just to prove a point -- but I had no problems going through the interview as intended, as long as I deleted old charities and did all the cash first and saved the items for last.

OR - Delete the w-2 and re-enter.  Make sure the amount in box 6 is 1.45% or less of the amount in box 5.

I appreciate the response. When I go to the Investment Section which does say 1099-B I can't find any place to enter the sale information. I've gone back in and the Investment Section takes me to the same funds listed in the Dividends Section above. When I go into the spot for the Wellesley Fund I see only the fields for Dividends which I have already entered but I don't see any field nor am I presented with any questions about selling part of the fund.

Q. So even though it’s taxable scholarship income (Pell Grant, and the off campus scholarship from her job in VA) that she received because she’s attending a college in Utah (and lives on campus in Utah during those months) it’s still not considered as a Utah source and therefore it is not taxed by Utah and those funds should be allocated to VA to be taxed (where she lives with her parents during the summer and winter breaks)? Q.  Yes. She performed no service, in UT, for the scholarship money. It was granted to her as a resident of another state (VA).    Q. Do you have an example what then would be considered Utah sourced?  A. An actual job, performed in UT, even on campus.    Another example: any interest her bank paid to her (even a UT bank), would be only taxable to her, by VA, as a VA resident.
