Did you e-file your tax return and was it accepted? Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.
You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large button labeled "Transmit my returns now".
After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.
Note - Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund. Only the taxpayer listed on the tax return can obtain the status of a tax refund or a tax return.
To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product. If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_...
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

Yes, it is generally correct for pension and 401(k) disbursements to be subtracted from your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) on your Michigan return. Michigan law (Public Act 4 of 2023) phases in full exemptions for most retirement benefits. For 2025, many private and public retirement benefits are fully or partially tax-exempt, significantly reducing or eliminating Michigan tax on them. Public Act 24 of 2025 allows Michigan taxpayers born after 1952 and aged 67 or older to claim both the standard deduction and the Social Security deduction for tax years 2026–2028. This change removes the previous requirement to reduce the standard deduction by the Social Security deduction amount. It is important to note that the standard deduction will still be offset by the personal exemption amount. Retirement and Pension Benefits

Thanks...I understand what it's trying to do. However, since none of the investment expense is foreign, why does it even to try apportion it? Shouldn't that bypass this calculation?

When starting up 2025 Turbo Tax it attempts to update the software. One article I found told me to download and install w_perrelsuperpatchIS_ttax_2025.zip file manually and it hangs as well.

No, you should not add those two amounts together, and they should not be reported as property taxes. Principal payments and your ending principal balance are not tax-deductible; they simply track the repayment of your loan debt rather than an expense.
Property (real estate) taxes are a separate category entirely and are typically found in Box 10 of your 1098 or listed in a supplemental "Escrow" section. If you combine your principal amounts and enter them as taxes, you would significantly overstate your deductions, which could trigger an IRS audit. Instead, look specifically for the amount labeled "Real Estate Taxes" or "Taxes paid from escrow," and ensure you are only deducting Mortgage Interest (Box 1) and any actual taxes paid.

Not having forms mode in the online version is a deal-breaker for me. I need to be able to see and edit the actual forms. I'm switching to desktop for this year, and for next year I'll have to look at alternatives to Turbotax if this issue is not resolved.

My return was rejected twice now because of the date I set as the day I want my funds withdrawn. I tried the date I filed and again today, with tomorrow's date (Saturday).

@user17728090640 wrote: So perhaps the concerns about the IRS automatically rejecting returns that do not include 1095-A information is no longer the case. The confusion comes from the Advance credit (column C of the 1095-A). If there was Advance credit, it WILL be rejected by the IRS if it is not included with the tax return. Most people who have a 1095-A received Advance credit. Because of that, it is a common misbelief that ALL returns will be rejected without their 1095-A (but in reality, it is only rejected if there was Advance credit).
