TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
https://www.irs.gov/refunds
To track your state refund:
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr
If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh
.
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst
If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act. Do not expect your refund before early March
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US
Note: “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”. TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing. Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing. If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.
FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE:
https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund
How it works
Where's My Refund shows your refund status:
Return Received – We received your return and are processing it.
Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown.
Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

@ SAmd_Prince On the business info screen you provided above, scroll down a little. Is there another row on that screen? Your image ended with "Tax Details", but I have another row "Other situations." If you don't have it yet, it may show up when you answer more questions later. In any case, low down on that screen (cropped out of your image) is a blue "Looks good" button. After verifying that everything on that screen looks correct, when I click the blue "Looks good" button, I'm taken to a page for Expenses and Income. There are buttons on the page--one says "Add expenses for this work" and another one that says "Add income for this work." I always do the income first. See @ DawnC's image above. We were posting this almost simultaneously. 🙂

I have a Federal S Corp and NJ State C corp. So, I file the 1120S and then the CBT-100. Turbo Tax is only allowing me to download CBT-100S. Last year there were 2 choices. Is the CBT-100 not available?

If a Federal Identification Number (FEIN) is required for e-filing, you can often leave it blank. If it does not let you enter 99-9999999.

You much complete the Federal Personal Information worksheet. The AI help says to delete and add the 1099-Q info again, which I have done. Still getting the same error and can't e-file.

Your employer does not tip you. Tips come from customers or other people for whom you perform some kind of service. Box 7 on your W-2 is supposed to be tips that you received and reported to your employer. If you don't receive tips, you have to ask your employer to explain how they arrived at the amount in box 7.

I see that I can enter the expenses but this is what I am getting when I run smart check- "Information Worksheet : Form 1099-Q - This state return is to yet ready to file. The federal return contains the following situation which requires an additional update to this state: You are filling a Form 1099-Q distribution from a 529 plan with expanded qualified education expenses on your federal return. The state calculations have not been fully updated yet to reflect these changes. We are actively working on updating the state impact and will make those updates available as soon as possible." So as of tonight March 3 2026 I am still unable to file taxes...

TurboTax has done it correctly.
Ohio does a convoluted tax calculation for non-residents/part year residents. It calculates tax on total income, then it calculates a non resident/part year resident credit, which it subtracts from the tax it calculated on the total income. The credit is calculated as your non-Ohio income divided by Total adjusted Income multiplied by the total tax. This system allows Ohio to apply the higher tax rate, based on your total income, while only taxing your Ohio income.
Total tax $1178 minus $1152 credit = $26 tax on your $1800 Ohio source income.
