TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst         If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act.  Do not expect your refund before early March   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US   Note:  “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”.  TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing.   Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing.  If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.   FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE: https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund How it works Where's My Refund shows your refund status: Return Received – We received your return and are processing it. Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown. Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

I have a similar problem, but I see nothing at all on my webpage, it just sits there after I get the Lets get your forms page and acknowledge the Captcha and continue. I can't select Learn more but the auto import button appears to move. Hit OK and nothing happens, page just sits there. I tried cut&paste from the Ameriprise document (eliminating the spaces), typing in the Package/document ID, both Edge & Chrome browsers, waiting an hour, but I get absolutely nothing. Ameriprise indicates their data is available. I had no issues doing this last year.

I deleted the blank Canadian screen and when I entered "Continue", I get goes back to the Income Summary screen.  When I go back into it, I get the question about living abroad and both of the answers for me and my wife are No.  When I continue, I get a different Canadian pension information screen and it asks for the "Custodian name".  There is no option to delete this.  If I continue, it just goes back to the Income Summary screen.
I have chime where’s my refund

Q. His room and board/meal plan is only $5667. Do I only enter that when asked what was used towards R&B, rather than the $8017? A. No.  When asked if any of the scholarships was used for room and board, answer yes. Then enter the amount you want to be taxable, in the pop up box. R&B are not "qualified educational  expenses" for tax free scholarship.  So, this is how you tell TT that it is taxable. Note the wording at that screen “or other expenses”. You didn’t have to literally use the scholarship for R&B.  This will put the taxable scholarship on line 8r of Schedule 1.     Q. How does the $3948 Pell grant affect the room and board expense?  A. Not at all. The $3948 is already included in the box 5 amount on the 1098-t.  No distinction between Pell & school scholarship is needed.  Calling it room and board is just how you make it taxable.
Why does it show that I owe tax in North Carolina
I did everything correctly, they asked for one final auth. code. but keep sending the code to the wrong email address. It looks like a way to collect more money.

It depends. If you received a 1099-MISC for a utility capital credit because the cooperative refunded more than $600 in prior years' expenses, requiring them to report it to the IRS, even though it is likely non-taxable for personal, residential accounts. These credits are a return of profit, and the 1099 is issued because the utility doesn't know if you deducted your electric bills as a business expense For residential customers, capital credit payouts are generally considered a return of capital and are not taxable income. However, if you did use any of the utility expense as a necessary expense for a business activity, then at least part of it would be taxable.   If you received it simply because you are a resident who pays for a monthly fee for the utility services, then nothing is taxable and you can keep the 1099-MISC in your file. You are not required to report income that is not taxable, but some would rather include it.   If you would rather report the income and then back it out here is an option:    When you are signed into your TurboTax return use the following steps to enter the income: Select Wages and Income > Scroll down to the Other Common Income section.  Click on the Start/Revisit box next Form 1099-MISC.  On the screen Did you get a 1099-MISC?  click on the Yes button. On the next screen, Let's get the info from your 1099-MISC, enter the information from the 1099-MISC, box 3. Be sure to answer 'No' this did not involve an intent to earn money Once you have entered the income you can use the following steps to enter it as a negative figure which will result in zero income being added to your other income. Click on Tax Home (left panel) Scroll down to Less Common Income section. Click on Start/Revisit box next to Miscellaneous Income > Scroll to  Click  Start/Revisit Enter Description and negative amount with the same dollar amount (ex. -500) Your description should be Nontaxable Cap Credit
