Yes, I have put it under State withholdings. Why is it still asking me to put the tax amount under the state section without asking for tax wihtheld?

Same thing happened to me. I did it several times and it said Schwab tax downloaded complete but there was nothing there. I went back and did it one more time and in the left corner of my top screen a pop up asked if it could access more of my files on my computer, this time I said yes instead of no and the file info showed up in the turbotax program.
it's the 18th and still can't amend 2024 taxes online.  only edit the old 1040, not the 1040x

Thanks. After 4.5 hours, we had tried everything they had for a Mac. I had already seen the page of recommendations for Mac users. I'd love to see someone say what they've done to make it work on a Mac with an Intel chip.  My computer is 6 years old this month and is running MacOS 15.7.4. As I said before, part of what sucks is they are not supporting their loyal customers. I've used TurboTax desktop on a Mac since 2004! and have NEVER had problems loading it.

Yes, you can also enter the W-2 as is and then check the box in the next screen identifying the W-2 as "Nontaxable Medicaid Waiver Payments that qualify as difficulty of care payments".   The steps that @ThomasM125 provided, entering Box 1 in the W-2 and then entering a negative number in Other Reportable Income, have worked for other users. We have suggested several different solutions to this issue because different W-2s in different states or from different agencies tend to report the Medicaid Waiver income differently.   Please also see this help article for information on how to account for IHSS/ Medicaid Waiver wages on your tax return depending on whether you received a W-2 and what information you were provided. The article was just updated on January 26, 2026. @BarbaraLindsey

Line 25d is the tax withholdings from W2s, 1099s etc.  Usually if you get this letter the amounts on one of your forms may have been reported incorrectly to the IRS.  You can check your W2s to see if there was an entry error in TurboTax, or you can also try to match with your last paycheck stub of 2025 to make sure that you were credited the correct amount.
Why my refund is taking to long and sydten update
Thank you so much for this advice. This is exactly what we needed. TurboTax should be ashamed!

You likely can't apply the carryover credit from 2024 since the Form 5695 for that year was not correct.   When you go through the Home Energy Credits section under Your Home in the Deductions and Credits section of TurboTax, you will see an option to enter your energy credit carryover from the previous year. It is on the screen that says Home Energy Credit Carryforward. When you enter the carryover credit, that should allow you to get credit for the carryover from 2024 on your 2025 tax return.   You need to amend your 2024 return to record the correct energy credit and carryforward. You will see an option for that on your home screen when you log into TurboTax.   To populate lines 17(a) to 17(c) on Form 5695, you need to check the appropriate boxes in the Energy Efficiency Home Improvement Credit Smart Worksheet - Part II Section A you will see above the lines 17(a) to 17(c) on form 5695. Also, below those lines you must complete the Qualified Energy Efficiency Improvements Smart Worksheet. Lines 17(a) to 17(c) will populate based on those entries.
Update... Turbo Tax 5 days early has blessed my family this year, my transcript updated to ddd of 3-9-26 this morning and I received my deposit from turbo tax this evening. I hope you all Update soon.
Some data is marked for review because it looks weird to the computer but it will still allow you to file because it is not a definite error.
The Turbotax screen for 1099b assumes that the stock that I sold was acquired on one day, but it was actually acquired on two different days.

Form 8282 is not supported in TurboTax software. Please clarify what you are trying to enter into your tax return. This form is explicitly providing information about received donated property if an action as noted below has occurred. It is a stand alone form and filed with the IRS by itself.   Who Must File: Original and successor donee organizations must file Form 8282 if they sell, exchange, consume, or otherwise dispose of (with or without consideration) charitable deduction property (or any portion) within 3 years after the date the original donee received the property.  Form 8282   If my chance you are referring to Form 8283, please review the link below. If your total noncash donations are $5,000 or more for a single item or group of similar items, you can't e-file your tax return, which includes Form 8283. Can I e-file Form 8283? For the latter you will enter your donation under Deductions & Credits > Donations to Charity in 2025 How do I enter my charitable donations in TurboTax?
