A date provided by TurboTax after you efiled is an estimate based on the IRS claim that most people who efile and choose direct deposit will get their refunds within 21 days. First, if you efiled, be sure your return was successfully efiled and accepted. If you used Online TurboTax, check at the Tax Home in your Online TurboTax account. Does it show as accepted? If accepted, what is showing at the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool? https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund When using that tool, use the refund amount shown on your Form 1040, Line 35a.

Ive tried reaching out to an IRS agent but the automated system seems designed to not allow that.

As I mentioned in my original post, I have already started to enter the Box A and Box D information in Summary form. So now, when I go to update, I get a list of my accounts -- including the one in the previous sentence. I am no longer being asked whether I want to enter the information in summary or individual sales. I can only "review" and add more Sales Totals But now I want to enter the individual sales from that same 1099 (for Box E). In short, how do I enter some sales in Summary (TOTALS) form, and some sales individually from the same 1099?

Where are you seeing a date of 2/16? If it's in TurboTax, that's a common 21-day estimate based on IRS past performance. What do you see at the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool? https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund If the IRS has approved and sent your refund, they say to allow up to 5 days due to bank variations. However, if you had any options such as "pay fees out of refund," or the "up to 5 days early" offer, or Refund Advance, all of those options involve a third-party intermediary bank to first receive the funds from the IRS before they send the rest to your actual bank account (or card.) So possible delays can occur with those options.

I don’t have an identity theft pin for my child." Please provide the rejection error code, and someone will likely further comment today. Also, please state why you mention your child. We don't know what your situation is. You have to first figure out "who" that IP PIN rejection is for--you, a spouse (if applicable), or a dependent. The rejection error code and message may provide a clue.

Problem solved. Deleting the two forms did the trick, and the problem was my own fault. In the original interview when asked whether the amount was either all or part of the total (sic), I foolishly interpreted that they were asking about all or part of my total HSA, not of the distribution. So I had indicated "part" rather than "all". I shouldn't drink bourbon when doing my taxes. Thanks !

@ dc5grl It's likely the same Colorado issue that I'll mention below. You've already confirmed the efile was accepted. So next be sure you are entering your state refund amount correctly. Look at your state return to get the refund figure. If that's all OK, it's likely this: That being said, Colorado seems to get off to a late start each year with delays in updating that tool and slow start to the speed of processing. Below is a thread with several of your fellow Coloradoans, who are reporting it took 2-3 weeks to see a move in that tool out of an initial "black hole" as one user @ tjbc named it. You can read their comments and join in the discussion at this link: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/taxes/discussion/colorado-2025-return-still-not-processing/00/3784880

I received a 1099-misc as a result of receiving a capital credit from utility company. From other posts on this form on the topic, responses are stating it is not taxable but since a 1099-misc was received and goes to IRS how can it be entered in turbo tax and count as nontaxable. When following the steps, it wants to treat it as self employment income. It was also mentioned to type that is a nontaxable return of personal expense but that doesn't help and turbo tax is calculating tax on it. Please advise.
