Well, contrary to what PatriciaV said, the "Amend Online" functionality appears to have been fixed (for now?) and I was able to finalize my amendment, file and pay online.

I made 53k this year and my girlfriend made 26k this year. We both have 2 kids together and live in the same house. I (the higher earner) will claim the 2 kids while my girlfriend claims the head of household and no kids. Am I within the legal terms to do this according to the IRS?

The following is from the "What's New" section oc Publication 17. Yes, the EIC is mentioned, but the IRS's wording seems to suggest that everyone who has lived in the US for over half the year should be checking the box because the IRS uses it to check eligibility fior that and other tax benefits. The implication is that it should be checked whether or not you qualify for such benefits.: It does NOT say it shouldn't be checked if you don't qualify for the EIC. If your main home (and spouse if filing a joint return) was in the United States for over half of 2025, check the box on the front of Form 1040 or 1040-SR. Providing this information will help the IRS determine your eligibility for certain tax benefits, including the earned income credit.

Why does your app say I don’t qualify for dependent child care credit? I paid $2680 this year for a in-house nanny, but your app refuses to apply this credit. I have earned income and my nanny is not related to me, and my nanny is not the parent or guardian of the my child either. Very frustrating!

One message says "1099-Q should not be entered directly on the oregon information worksheet for electronic filing, You must complete the federal personal information worksheet." I have gone back to both and they both seem to be in order. The other says "Form 1099-Q is still being worked on. Please return after it has been updated." I tried to update the form but nothing changes. On both screens it shows me my Oregon information worksheet and allows me to only change my first name. I'm not sure what it wants me to do
