I am using 2025 TT for Mac. I have foreign dividend income on two 1099-Div from 4 countries and 1 RIC. Under Deductions and Credits in the Foreign Tax Credit section, it has me list each country and the one RIC. This is also under the Learn More that says I must report the countries not use Various as the 1099-Div states.  When I go to the next screen, I select the first country and the next screen asks which 1099 is it related to for that country and I select the correct one. I then select report income and the next screen asks how much income is from that country. I finish and select next and it comes up with the country list and I pick the second country and Report Income. The next screen then shows only one 1099. I select that and put in the amount of income. I go to Next and it moves on without going back to the country list. When I arrow back through the pages to the country list only the two countries with entries are listed. This must be a bug of some sort if I am truly supposed to report income by country as the Learn More states.

If you are an Alabama resident, your income earned from active duty military deployment in a combat zone is exempt from Alabama state income taxes.     The IRS recognized combat zones are listed on the website link below.  If you are in a combat zone, the software will ask you questions during your interview process (Personal info section) to make sure that any combat pay will be tax exempt.   IRS Combat zones approved for tax benefits   Please let us know if you have any questions or need assistance.   Thank you for your service.

If you are having issues importing your tax documents from your financial institution or brokerage account, you might want to try these other options:   Upload: you have to enter into your financial institution's account and download the documents to your computer, then upload it into the system.   Snap a photo: You will need the physical document in your hands and take a picture of them.   Type it yourself: This may not be the best option if you have a lot of transactions and/or documents. But, it's still an option.

@DoninGA Thank you so much!  I had rebooted my computer and did the check for updates multiple times, but that didn't fix it. Downloading the manual update finally fixed it.  I'm having a similar issue with TurboTax Business, where the availability matrix says the forms are available, but the software says they aren't. It says that the 1065 Partnership Form p1-4 and p5-6 along with Schedule B-1 and Schedule K-1 are not available yet.  Is there a manual update for the Business version?  The one that fixed the Deluxe version did not fix this.   Actually, I found it: https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/update-products/manually-update-turbotax-business-software/L3WqYBBgc_US_en_US and it fixed that problem also.   This is a little concerning. I'm worried that I won't get future updates since the "Check For Updates" feature kept telling me that there were no updates even though there clearly were :(   Thanks again, Rich
If the trust is NOT a grantor trust, then you would need TurboTax Business to file a Form 1041 for the trust.   https://turbotax.intuit.com/small-business-taxes/cd-download

I was just having this same issue, but I just figured it out. So I thought I'd share in case you are still looking for an answer. Go to Your Account; then Digital Games and Software (under Digital Content and Devices section at the bottom middle); your TurboTax purchase should show there under Downloads and Codes; the license code will be the 16 digit code next to "Activation Key". Hope this helps!

Take a look at your Form 1099-Q box 6.  If there is a box checked on your form, then answer 'Yes' to the question for box 6.  If there is not a box checked on your form, then answer 'No'.   The wording on the TurboTax entry screen is confusing, but the important thing is to match the information shown on your actual Form 1099-Q.  The wording on the screen is being reported to the development team to follow-up and make some updates for clarity.   @user17712517236
I tried both options before I created this question, but I just deleted the RI return and re-created and it pulled in the correct figure? Thanks for the help.

If your Renter's Rebate Credit is from your state, you may need to file a State Return to claim it.  You can probably do that through your state's portal, since you're not required to file a Federal return, or you can use TurboTax to prepare both a Federal and State return, and only Efile your state return.    If you tell us what state you're in, we'll try to help.    @Mysticaldolphin1

The “senior deduction” is added automatically by the software based on the date of birth and filing status you entered into MY INFO.  You do not need to take any extra steps to enter it. (And…the new senior deduction has nothing to do with whether you are getting Social Security)   The deduction is not on the same line as your standard deduction.  It is shown separately.on line 13b.     2025 STANDARD DEDUCTION AMOUNTS SINGLE $15,750  (65 or older/legally blind + $2000) MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY $15,750  (65 or older/legally blind +1600) MARRIED FILING JOINTLY $31,500  (65 or older/legally blind + $1600) HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD $23,625 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)     For 2025 through 2028 there is an extra  deduction amount of up to $6000 per individual 65 or older filing Single, MFJ, or HOH which is phased out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $75,000 for single filers and $150,000 for joint filers.   (The deduction phases out completely at $175.000 Single or HOH, or $250,000 joint)   The $6,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b. It is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e.  Turbo Tax automatically includes it. IRS Schedule 1-A https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/f1040s1a--dft.pdf   Need to see it? https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/preview-turbotax-online-return-filing/L77WCkvnu_US_en_US?uid=m681fkhr   If you are not getting the senior deduction it is because Your date of birth in MY INFO shows that you were not 65 by the end of 2025 Your income is too high You are filing married filing separately

@rfebfe before they emailed me saying they had fixed it in an upgrade (I don't know how true this is as I had already completed the returns and don't see my role as a free product tester), my workaround was to start the return all over again and just enter the 1099-R info and then indicate that all the distribution was against the RMD. I didn't click on the subsequent screen where they invite you to enter more info about the RMD and 'Continue'd past it. This seemed to avoid the penalty calculation rabbit hole. Deleting that I had already done and starting again was a PITA, but I got my returns completed and e-filed before they had even replied to the support ticket. And like you, I may not be using TurboTax again next year and go with another software prep product instead.
