Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.  Only the taxpayer listed on the tax return can obtain the status of a tax refund or a tax return.   You may want to contact a Taxpayer Advocate in your area.  See this IRS website for Taxpayer Advocate - https://www.taxpayeradvocate.irs.gov/ or call 1-877-777-4778

If the Social Security benefits is the Only income to be reported on the tax return and there is no federal income taxes being withheld, then there is no reason or need to file a tax return. Unless you also received a Form 1095-A for your health insurance through one of the State Marketplace Exchanges or from healthcare.gov then you must file a tax return.
Once the tax return has been filed the refund advance is no longer available.

I've always been a fan of your product, but the poor communication and missed deadlines on this issue are disappointing. I hope this most recent deadline of February 19 does not also slip.

@Joe-dixon2112 wrote:  I didn't get my W-2 last year return. Agent What does that mean?   Can you please explain that differently with more detail, and please confirm what tax year you mean by "last year."    This is a public Internet forum, so don't post any personal info here.     Is it this:   Are you wanting to say that you filed a 2024 return last year, were due a tax refund, but have not yet received the refund from the IRS?   Or, since you mentioned a W-2, does your question mean you didn't get a W-2 form from your employer last year?

The amending option is supposed to open on February 19.   In the meantime, do not make any changes in your return.  When you begin the amending process, it has to start off as originally filed.   If you were due a Federal refund, you should wait until your original return has been fully processed by the IRS, and you have received the refund.   If you amend the Federal return, you may need to amend the state return, too (if applicable.)
