I just did a mock return in TurboTax that had an IRA distribution that was part QCD and part retirement income, from a taxpayer who was at least 70.5 years old and it worked as it should.   Check your 1099-R entries.  Once you get to a screen "Do any of these situations apply to you?", check the box for "transferred all or part of this money directly to charity".  Once you click Continue, enter the $ amount that you had the custodian transfer directly to the charity, up to the limit of $108,000 for 2025.   This will show up on the 1040 with line 4a as the total of the distribution, line 4b as the taxable amount (the part not donated directly to the charity) and a check in the box for QCD on line 4c.   If you are still having issues with the additional tax, it would be helpful to have more information about where the additional tax is coming from on Schedule 2 and also if maybe the additional tax is on Form 5329.
If you have "zero" income why are you preparing an income tax return?   What are you trying to do?

1. This feature was unavailable the day I tried, it stated something akin to "Please return later while we update the website with new tax law". 2. How absolutely stupid, arbitrary, obfuscate, and f#cking dumb, to have work around and misleading steps just to print a document. If this website wasn't designed by morons the print center would just be available at all times. Or these documents would be included in the PDF download of your tax returns. This company sucks massive hotdogs and no one should use their services. I waited 45 minutes on hold twice to speak to people that had 0 clue what I was asking about including one imbecile that read the Google results back to me and insisted I just needed to look for my form 8879 which I told him repeatedly,  wasn't included in my PDF download. Even a friend with access to the "experts" (a paid service) found her reading the responses to a reddit post trying to help him get his. Beyond stupid, company should be shut down.

This happened to me, I filled for the 5 day early and my back account was compromised a week before so it has a hold on any out or incoming transactions while they're looking into it. After 18 hours between cross River, turbo, Intuit and 50-11 product support operators.... Today I got someone that was great and checked into everything. It was reflected the 19th and she gave me my check number and said it should mail today or tomorrow to my address on file

When you are in the File section of the program and going through the screens for e-filing the state tax return, there is a $25 state e-file fees.  You landed on a screen asking you how you want to pay for this charge, either with a credit card or with your federal tax refund.  If you chose the federal refund, there is a $40 service charge for this option.  If you do not want this $40 fee then you need to start the File section again, go through the screens until you are back on the screen for paying the e-file fee.  Choose Pay with a Credit Card.

If this was your main residence, that you owned for more than 2 years and lived in for at least 2 of the past 5 years, and never used for business, then you can exclude up to $250,000 of gain.  If you gain is less than the exclusion, and you did not get a 1099-S at the closing, you can leave the transaction off your return.   However, if your gain is more than $250,000, or this was not your main home, or you got a 1099-S at the closing to report the sale, then you must report it on your tax return.  It may be below the tax threshold for long term gains, but you have to put it writing and do the math to prove it.  The IRS does not give any credit for any tax benefit unless you put it in writing.  If you don't report it, they can send you a bill for the tax they think you owe.    The best thing to do is report it in Turbotax and let the program figure out the details.
An oil company paid for water use on land we own, reported on 1099 NEC form, how is this reported?
