Turbo tax is not taxing it in NJ because IRA contributions are post tax in NJ. This is a rollover IRA.

I have the same issue. This history is very important to see how we compare to previous years. When will it get fixed in home and business version?

What do you mean by "selected" EIC? If you are eligible to get earned income credit it is added automatically to your Form 1040. You are saying that you are not a citizen or resident---which suggests that you should not even be using TurboTax. If you are a non-resident alien, your return should have been prepared on a Form1040NR, which can only be done by using TT's partner, sprintax.
NON RESIDENT ALIEN
If you are a non-resident alien, your return must be filed on Form 1040NR, which cannot be prepared using TurboTax. You can use TT’s partner, sprintax:

There is this…… Starting for 2025 returns itemize deductions the SALT (State And Local Tax) max was 10,000 and now is 40,000. See IRS Schedule A draft https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/f1040sa--dft.pdf But starting at $500,000 ($250,000 if married filing separately) of modified AGI the SALT deduction phases down and is fully down to $10,000 at $600,000 ($300,000 if married filing separately) of MAGI. And look around in Forms. I saw some posts saying there is a checkbox somewhere affecting it you have to uncheck. I’m looking for it. Maybe on an info worksheet or Schedule A. Like to take the Standard Deduction instead of itemized.

When you selected to have the TurboTax account fees paid from the federal tax return. This option had a clearly visible link labeled See Terms
How do I pay with my refund?
We'll deduct your TurboTax fees, and an additional processing fee where applicable, from your refund and send the balance to your bank account. This processing fee is charged by the third-party bank that handles the transaction.
If you haven't received your refund within 60 days of filing, the TurboTax fees, any processing fees, and sales tax may be automatically deducted from your bank account.
If you choose to pay your tax preparation fee with TurboTax using your tax refund, you will not be eligible to receive your refund up to 5 days early with Credit Karma Money.
If you choose to receive your refund 5 days early with TurboTax, you won't be eligible to pay your tax preparation fees with your state refund.
California State filers only: The processing fee is included with the cost of Premium Services.
Clicking on processing fee -
You can use your federal (or state where applicable) refund to pay your TurboTax fees.
When your return is processed, the bank that handles the transaction charges a $40 processing fee. If your return is rejected, you may need to re-enter your bank account information, but you won't be charged again.
To use this payment option:
Your federal or state (if applicable) refund must be enough to cover your TurboTax fees.
You must have a US address.
You have to e-file.
The name on the bank account needs to match the name on the tax return.
You'll need to direct deposit your refund into a single account.
Note: If your TurboTax navigation looks different from what’s described here, learn more.
To pay with your refund:
Open or continue your return.
Select File from the left menu.
On the Just a few steps left... screen, select Start or Revisit for the first step.
On the next screen, select View payment options.
Under Pay for TurboTax, select Use your refund.
How can I pay with my state refund?
Pay With Your State Refund is now available for taxpayers filing state taxes in Arizona, Colorado, California, Illinois, Ohio, Oregon, Michigan, and/or Wisconsin. To be eligible, you must meet all Refund Processing eligibility requirements (see above) and your state refund must be enough to cover your total TurboTax fees. If eligible, your TurboTax fees will be deducted from your state refund when received from your state agency. If you receive both a federal and state refund, fees will be deducted from whichever refund is deposited first and is large enough to cover your total TurboTax fees.
Pay With Your State Refund isn't eligible in Expert Full Service.

I've had the same issue as described by multiple users. I spent an hour trying to figure out where $429 of "other income" was coming from. I deleted all income and it was still showing as income. I called support and spent an hour and 20 minutes on the line with multiple support folks. They were assuming I had somehow entered income reportable via schedule 1. I finally gave up. Today I was able to figure out TT was erroneously applying the last month rule. Support should be made aware of this - this consumed much of my time and all of my patience. Also, those of us who have been plagued by the issue should be given a code to eliminate the cost of filing with TT this year. @DanaB27

How do I file 1099-S info? I sold a vacant lot for $20,000. It was purchased for approximately $8,000 about 20 years ago with a multitude of ideas for its use (non of them materialized). At time of sale the City RE taxed value was $15K. I just kept the lot cut and clear of debris consistent with city ordinances. Will I be able to deduct the cost of maintenance for the 20 years? Where do I enter the $20K on my 1040 (I099 MISC)?
