Here's how to update the email address inside your Intuit Account:   Log in to your online account, and in the left menu column scroll way down and choose the tab Intuit Account. Then once in the account settings choose the tab Sign In & Security. You'll then see a place to change the email address. Click on the old email address, and you'll get a screen to enter a new one and SAVE it. Then go back and be sure it has updated in the "Sign in info" data. The new email address may have a tiny tag link beside it that says "not verified".  If so, click on that tag to verify. It may then send a link or code to your newly-entered email to verify with. Then when you look again, it should say "verified" next to your email address.

It seems some of us desktop users are having the same issues again we had in 2024 tfs with the interview questions not asking about Home Office % use. Is the only way to fix this is to go into Forms? I have net profit well over what my Home Office deduction is, so nothing about it bringing my profit to negative. All my income 1099-MISC, so this should go towards lowering my net profit, not a “deduction” as others phrase it. When compared Desktop to using the Web app, it correctly reduces my net profit.  Form 8829 shows my business use of home expenses, but Schedule C line 30 is zero and Form 8829’s gross income limitation (Line 8 ) is showing as zero. I believe the software is using Schedule C Line 28 or Line 29 incorrectly to limit the home office deduction, so the home office amount isn’t flowing into Schedule C line 30, which overstates my net profit and self-employment tax.   Any help here again?
How do I edit my personal HSA deduction? It says the info can be changed but I do not see an Edit button.

I need support and cant find any here.  Community groups are not support, there is no link to real support, why do you operate something without offering support!?  You have got to include a link for this somewhere here.   My problem is that I am trying to do my taxes, using the free file do it myself version, but you are not allowing me to do this.  When I go to enter my income, i get a message saying "to accurately report my income I will need to upgrade."  This is absurd.  No I can report my income very accurately and easily, if you would allow me to input this.  This is a simple thing to do.  It is not a free file do it myself edition if I am being FORCED into paying for an upgrade for something so easy.  I would really like an explanation as to why you bait and switched me.  I have spent all this time working on these to run into this ridiculous demand and it is infuriating.

My son has mad money off his YouTube account, but the payments were made to me because he is a minor. I was advised to add this as Nominee Income, or to enter another entry and deduct the same amount, and then issue my son a 1099 for his taxes.   When entering the 1099-MISC in TurboTax Home & Business 2025, the software is forcing me to enter this on Schedule C as Self-Employmet income. It isn't self-employment income, and I don't want to report it as such. How can I add this as Other Income?

Or will I just enter the 1099G for Federal purposes to see if the amount is taxable as Federal income in 2025? And I'm assuming if I took the standard deduction, it won't be taxable. I really just want to confirm I don't need to file a state return for the state that sent me the 1099G. Thanks!
I got an error message 'Hmm, looks like we've hit a snag' when I clicked on any button on Turbo Tax

Each year I take the required amount of my IRA's RMD.  But I have a taxable proportion that is less than the whole amount of the RMD because of post- and pre-tax history.  The financial institution issuing my RMD doesn't acknowledge this smaller taxable amount on their 1099-R, so each year (e.g., 2022, 2023, and 2024) I have had to file an amended return, and they have all been accepted by the IRS and I received a refund.  But I am tired of having to do this each year.  TurboTax doesn't let me manually put it in and use it on their return.  When I put in a taxable amount, it is ignored in the final calculations which only show the full amount. Is it impossible to get TurboTax to use my manually inputted amount?

I bought the desktop version, however, I had to use the online version. It is absolutely horrible. It’s impossible to navigate.. I have no idea what is going on. I could not find the tools. I decided I need to file for an extension because I’m getting ready for a trip and I cannot handle the Frustration of dealing with this now. I could not find out how to file for an extension. I paid another service to e-file for an extension. I want my money back . I have been a loyal TurboTax user for over 10 years at least. But I am so upset I may never use it again.
