Gambling losses can only be deducted up to the amount of the gambling winnings. Gambling winnings are reported on Form 1040 Schedule 1 on Line 8b. The amount from Part I of Schedule 1 Line 10 flows to Form 1040 Line 8. Gambling Losses are reported on Form 1040 Schedule A as a Other Itemized Deductions. Gambling losses are not a one-for-one reduction in winnings. Your total itemized deductions reported on Form 1040 Schedule A must be greater than the standard deduction for your filing status to have any tax benefit.
To enter, edit or delete Gambling Winnings and Losses -
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business) Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business) Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown) Scroll down to Less Common Income On Prizes, Awards, and Gambling Winnings, click the start or update button

@BadBrad Thanks for the added information, but it looks like you figured it out yourself! Great job!
So yes, in instances where the 1099-R is missing state distribution information (which is very common), putting in the Box 2a taxable amount for the state distribution will take care of the error.

I itemize deductions and receive a NYS Star rebate check. I subtract the STAR amount from my real estate taxes on my federal return. Example Total Real Estate Taxes Paid $10,000 les Star $1,000. Real Estate Taxes reported $9,000. If I have already subtracted the NYS Star rebate from my real estate taxes on my federal return, why does Turbo tax ask me to enter the Star amount so it can reduce my real estate taxes again? Should I not be deducting it from my federal return?

More than likely. It's odd that it wouldn't save your info. Did you use the software or online version.

First, check to see if you signed up for the TurboTax Refund Advance. You can look in a few specific places in your account or your email.
Check Your TurboTax Order Details
On the Tax Home page, scroll down to the section for "Your tax returns & documents."
Select View Order Details.
Look for "Refund Advance" or "Credit Karma Money" listed under your payment and refund methods.
If it’s not there, you likely selected a standard direct deposit or a different refund option.
Look for Confirmation Emails
If you applied, you should have received automated emails from TurboTax and its partners.
From TurboTax: Search for an email confirming your "Refund Selection."
From Credit Karma: If you were approved, Credit Karma sends an email when the funds are deposited into your Credit Karma Money Spend account.
From WebBank: If your application was denied, you will receive an email from WebBank (the lender) explaining the reason for the decline.
Check Your Credit Karma Money Account
Because the Refund Advance is deposited into a Credit Karma Money™ Spend account, checking that account is the fastest way to see if the loan was processed.
Log in to your Credit Karma account.
Navigate to the Money tab.
If you see a pending or completed deposit for a portion of your refund (typically between $250 and $4,000) shortly after the IRS accepted your return, that is your Refund Advance.
Review Your Tax Return Summary
You can also find clues on your actual tax forms:
Open your 2025 return in TurboTax
Go to the Tax Tools menu on the left
Select Print Center
View your Federal Information Worksheet
Look at the "Direct Deposit" section
If you signed up for the advance, the bank account listed will be the MVB Bank account associated with Credit Karma, rather than your personal bank account.

Potential solution for those struggling with the first page of the K-1 being blank (same issue I had despite trying all workarounds): I determined with one of the TT tax experts on the phone this weekend that if you're viewing the PDF without Adobe software (e.g., on browser view, on a Mac), it will show the first page blank, but all the other pages are fine. However, if you have Adobe software installed it will actually show the first page either in browser view or saved on your desktop. Further, when inspecting the e-file to the IRS with Adobe software the first K-1 page was not blank thankfully (but shows blank viewing on a computer without Adobe). I hope this remediates your issues too as an immediate workaround or fallback! Either way, the outcome is unacceptable and TT needs to fix this.

We at Intuit TurboTax want our users to be completely delighted with their experience using our products and services, and successful in their financial lives and businesses. Once you file your return, as long as the settings to receive communication from Intuit don’t block it, you will see a pop-up message or receive an email with a survey asking you about your experience. We encourage you to leave your notes and comments there. “Voice of the Customer” notes and comments are read and acted upon. If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can also leave feedback at the Final Steps tab.

The purpose of that question is to establish the basis in your Roth IRA in the event that you take a distribution from the account that may be taxable. If you have not reached the age of 59 1/2 and the Roth IRA is not at least 5 years old, then the basis is needed to determine whether the distribution is a return of your contributions (basis) or not.
To learn more about qualified Roth IRA distributions, see the following information from the IRS:
