I've been ready to submit taxes for a week now and still waiting for this in order to finalize.    Any idea of when it will be available? "Wait a few days" is a very vague answer considering some of us have been waiting for a few days already. Is it a week or 4 weeks? 6 weeks? Customers need to be able to make an informed decision on what to do and this is impossible if we are kept in the dark.

@CatinaT1    So, I checked and it shows in payment method "refund transfer" and it has our deposit going into our Credit Karma account. If that's what it's supposed to be, how long does it generally take to show up?   I looked for the emails and while I see where I logged into Credit Karma from TurboTax to link it, I don't see any other emails.   I did see where last year, it looks like it took almost a week for the advance to come in. Could this be a similar situation?

If you are certain that the investment has become worthless then you will enter it as a sale.  The sale date will be the date that you were made aware that it was worthless, the sale price is zero dollars and the amount that you paid for it is what you paid for it.     Enter all of this information as though you had received a 1099-B.  Then make certain that you save all of the documentation that proves that the stock was worthless and what you paid for it in case there are any questions later.

Yes, enter the exact amount from box 14, and TurboTax will calculate the deduction based on your filing status ($25,000 max for joint). Ensure you select the correct description (e.g., "EX OT WAGES" or similar) in the TurboTax box 14 dropdown, which will properly categorize the overtime pay exemption.

Please try to get a beginning and ending mileage for your car, maybe use receipts from oil changes, to determine the total miles you put on the vehicle.  The reason it matters if that the ratio of business to personal miles determines the percentage the vehicle is used for business versus personal use.    If you are only claiming the Mileage Rate, you can use an estimate.
Yes, 10 characters total. The first two are alphanumeric, then there are more letters scattered throughout.    I think enhanced is less common, and they probably haven't accounted for it.
TurboTax is aware of the problem and is working on it. But, they have not announced a target fix date.
I just wanna know if this is correct. I would like for someone to look over my deductions and tell me what percentage I can take of each.
Q. The original post was made in 2021. Is this still accurate?   A. Yes.

Thanks for your reply, Roger. I downloaded the desktop software to amend 2024 to try this. I don't see the Det Home Mort form you mention, but do see Home Int Wkst and the mortgage acquisition dates are correct. I should clarify I have two properties, and the worksheet appears to be summing each separately to evaluate against the limit. My understanding is that it's the total debt for qualified homes (primary and secondary) that accounts for the deduction limit according to what I've read of IRS publication 936. I found in the Tax & Int Wks I can mark the check box Yes that I need to limit my mortgage interest deduction and can enter my hand calculated result, but this doesn't seem ideal when TurboTax is supposed to calculate this for me.
You can't prepare a 1099-NEC to send out from inside the tax return.  You'll need to use a separate program here at this link.
I am trying to do my taxes for my rental property, but it says the depreciation form is not available yet even though Intuit has shown it is available for ween on their website.
