You might be confusing different things. For 2025 if you are 65 or older you automatically get 2,000 added on to the Standard Deduction for Single and Head of Household. For married filing Joint or Separate it is 1,600. Then starting next year when we file our 2026 tax returns there is a new charitable deduction up to $1,000 (for single filers and those married filing separately) or $2,000 (for married couples filing jointly) you can take with the Standard Deduction. It is not clear how that will work or where it will show up on the return. Starting this year until 2028 there is also a new Enhanced Senior Deduction of $6,000 for each spouse 65 or older if you qualify. You can get that in addition to the Standard Deduction or Itemized Deductions. If you are married you have to file Joint to qualify.

Please let me know if the following is true on your return?
1. You did not have HDHP coverage all twelve months of 2025,
2. You answered the question "What type of HDHP coverage did you have on December 1, 2024?" with "Self" or "Family".
In this situation, you are put into the last-month rule portion of the interview, in which you will be asked about your contributions in 2024 as well as about your HDHP coverage in 2024. This is done in order to calculate what your HDHP limit would have been without the last-month rule in 2024.
So tell me if statements #1 and #2 above are true, and we can continue from there.

I am using the Mac desktop version of TT. I found form 5695 in the FORMS section at the very top of the TT program - click on the FORMS icon and a list of ALL the forms in the program show up on the left of the page. I filled in my info without any trouble. When I did the final review no problems showed up. Also, when I printed my return form 5695 was there with all necessary info and figures displayed. I can now E-file according to the TT program.

Sounds like something got stuck. You can try these things:
Log Out Completely: Before doing anything else, click Sign Out in the TurboTax menu.
Clear Cache and Cookies: This removes old, "corrupted" data that might be confusing the website.
Use an Incognito (Private) Window: This is the most effective "quick fix" because it launches the browser without any saved history or extensions (like AdBlockers) that often interfere with tax forms.
Check Pop-up Blockers: TurboTax often opens forms (like the 1099 PDF) or payment windows in a separate pop-up. Look at the right side of your address bar for a small icon with a "red X"—click it and select "Always allow pop-ups from Intuit."
Restart the Browser: Close all open windows of your browser entirely and then reopen it.
Most TurboTax errors happen because the browser is trying to use an old "session" from a previous visit. By clearing the cache or using Incognito mode, you force the browser to establish a brand-new, secure connection with the Intuit servers.

Here are some former posts that will be helpful in how to report the earnings on an excess Roth Contribution:
Withdrawing Excess Roth IRA Contribution
How to report Earnings from a Roth IRA Excess Contribution
Bear in mind that these posts are from earlier years, so the years won't match up to your situation, but amending a 2023 return for receipt of the 2024 1099-R reporting earnings on excess contributions is correct.

@ajaxthedog89 Intuit doesn't control when the import data sets from Fidelity is ready, that varies by brokerage - see below. These are separate datasets the brokerages need to prepare, unrelated to you having a 1099R PDF in hand as of 1/16. If you really can't wait a week to import then you have to manually input. Other tax software won't solve when Fidelity is ready. If you used Vanguard you could try tomorrow. If Schwab try mid Feb. According to Fidelity Investments documents will be ready for import on following dates Form 1099-B available from Saturday, 31 January 2026 at 00:00:00 PT onwards Form 1099-DIV available from Saturday, 31 January 2026 at 00:00:00 PT onwards Form 1099-INT available from Saturday, 31 January 2026 at 00:00:00 PT onwards Form 1099-MISC available from Saturday, 31 January 2026 at 00:00:00 PT onwards Form 1099-OID available from Saturday, 31 January 2026 at 00:00:00 PT onwards Form 1099-R available from Saturday, 31 January 2026 at 00:00:00 PT onwards Vanguard is tomorrow: According to Vanguard (Brokerage) documents will be ready for import on following dates Form 1099-B available from Tuesday, 27 January 2026 at 00:01:00 PT onwards Form 1099-DIV available from Tuesday, 27 January 2026 at 00:01:00 PT onwards Form 1099-INT available from Tuesday, 27 January 2026 at 00:01:00 PT onwards Form 1099-MISC available from Tuesday, 27 January 2026 at 00:01:00 PT onwards Form 1099-OID available from Tuesday, 27 January 2026 at 00:01:00 PT onwards Form 1099-R available from Tuesday, 27 January 2026 at 00:01:00 PT onwards Schwab? Good morning, everyone! Happy New Year! I had a question regarding what can be used for deductions as a Gig Worker (a Roadie courier). I know we are allowed to choose mileage or vehicle expenses (like maintenance, gas, and so on). It's one or the other, from what I recall. But can we claim phone usage, too? I rely on it 100 percent of the time to navigate between drop-offs and get gigs. If I choose mileage, then can I also use my cell phone bill as a deduction, too, or would that be lumped in with vehicle expenses? And if so, what is the best way to deduct my cell phone bill? I use it 100 percent, so would it just be the entire cost of the phone bill or only like half of it? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Form 8959 is primarily triggered by high income, but it's also required by the IRS to reconcile any Additional Medicare Tax that was withheld by an employer, even if you do not ultimately owe the tax.
Double check your entries for your W2s. You could have a Box 6 withholding error or misplaced decimal point in Box 5 (e.g., entering $50,000.00 as $500,000) will trigger the form.
Go to Wages & Income and select Edit/Add next to your W-2.
Check Box 5 and Box 6 for every W-2 entered.
Ensure Box 6 is exactly 1.45% of Box 5. If it is off by a few cents (e.g., the W-2 shows $145.01 instead of $145.00), rounding it to the nearest dollar may remove the form requirement.
If the amount in Box 6 (Medicare tax withheld) is more than 1.45% of the amount in Box 5 (Medicare wages), TurboTax must generate Form 8959 to claim a refund of that overpayment. Even a discrepancy of $1 due to employer rounding can trigger this.
If your W2 entries are correct, delete the form:
Select Tax Tools from the left menu, then Tools.
Select Delete a form.
Find Form 8959 and click Delete.
Note: If the data in your W-2 still points to an overpayment, TurboTax will automatically re-generate the form during the final review.

A Form 5498, IRA Contribution Information is an information only form. It is not entered on a tax return.
