Perhaps all of the cryptocurrency upload software is not yet operational.   The TurboTax Help How do I upload a CSV file of my crypto transactions? states:   Select +Add investments if you've already added some crypto info. On the Let's import your tax info screen, select Enter a different way, Cryptocurrency, and then Continue. Follow the onscreen instructions to upload your cryptocurrency. In TurboTax Premium Online, if I select Enter a different way, I do not receive the Cryptocurrency prompt.  Nor do I receive a prompt for CSV file.   This tax year introduces a new IRS tax form 1099-DA Digital Asset Proceeds From Broker Transactions.     IRS Form 1099-DA will be used by brokers to report proceeds from (and in some cases, basis for) digital asset dispositions to you and the IRS.

@Meekearth    Depends...if you have other income...pensions, IRAs, investment income like dividends & interest, or stock/bond/mutual fund sales......then some of your SS may be taxed.  Up to 85% may be included in taxable, at the most.  BUT, if your only income is SS, then you do not have to file unless you have a 1095A for purchased Obamacare med insurance.   Being over/under age 65 is immaterial.   Thus, if you file taxes, you must always enter your SSA-1099 into the tax software...and the software will calculate whether any of it is taxable, and will include whatever is taxable on your form 1040, line 6b

Alright, what the heck is going on with Intuit's receiving hub for tax returns?  Have attempted multiple times (and yes, restarting the program and computer) since last evening to transmit my return and get the message back, "We're experiencing Internet tansmission problems..."  Come on, at least let users know that there are site-wide issues.  Maybe caused by the severe weather.  But the lack of information is unprofessional...
