When you enter a 1099R for a pension you need to just say it was all an RMD.  That's it.
According to the IRS, you may take your RMD from one account.   Therefore, in TurboTax, inputting the RMD you took from the first account will satisfy your total RMD.   Here is a link, "Can a... See more...

Turbotax says not to enter these expenses when it asks for mandatory/optional purchases from the school, but there is no further prompt for the expenses purchased outside the school for school purposes.

E-filing is closed for 2024.   You have to mail it.   Use a mailing service like certified mail  to track so you will know it was received since you will have a long wait.   Do not expect quick results from amending. It can take four months or more for the IRS to process an amended return.     You can watch for information here: https://www.irs.gov/filing/wheres-my-amended-return

I went down the path suggested by manisman1995 this AM.  The only issue I had was the Qualified Tuition Program (QTP) Computation of Taxable Distribution in the "For Purposes of Regular Tax" column was just wrong.  No way to drill down on the cell that was being calculated incorrectly, Line 2 c.  I detected it by writing down my Fed & State refunds prior to moving forward.  For some reason, TT was causing the AGI to be overstated for my daughter and while that had no impact on her Fed taxes, it was incorrectly increasing her state taxes due off AGI.  So, to correct this, I had to right click and override that cell (Line 2 c) with the correct amount.  Only at that point, were things correct even after entering her Education Expenses manually at the Form "People wks (student / taxpayer)" at line 6 for Room & Board.  Her Tuition per Box 1 of her 1098-T and her Room & Board (not included on 1098-T) entered at the corresponding "People wks" at Line 6 exceed her 529 Plan withdrawals to her as beneficiary and the janky calculation within TT was still somehow computing that she had income attributed to her 1099-Q.
I’ve been pending for 5 days. TurboTax says they accepted my return, but IRS hasnt accepted it for 5 days.

Although you might be able to view or print your information from the website, most banks, brokerages and other financial institutions do not have the data formatted for import into tax software before sometime in February.  So if you are wanting to enter it sooner, you have to key it in by hand.   Or….wait until it is available for import.   If you want to enter it manually, click the option that says “I’ll type it in myself”

You mean you started it last year-- in 2025?      You will be able to access the 2024 return you started by using the exact same account and user ID that you used when you started it.   But you can no longer use online software for any further changes.       Start a 2025  return online and enter some personal information  so that the menu on the left opens up and lets you access your past year returns.   Online tax preparation and e-filing for 2024  returns is now permanently closed.    Now it is too late to use online software or to e-file. If you have any changes/corrections at all to make to your 2024 return, you now have to complete it using desktop software, which you must download to a full PC or Mac  (not to a mobile device). Then you need to print, sign and mail it.   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/printers-printing/finish-prior-year-return-started-turbotax-online/L9Oe4M90A_US_en_US?uid=m68tffpe   If you already paid for your online software you can ask customer support for a download of the desktop software.   They are available from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time Monday - Friday   https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899263-what-is-the-turbotax-phone-number     If you are getting a refund, there is no penalty for filing late.  If you owe tax due, then file and pay the amount due as shown on the Form 1040, but expect a bill later from the IRS for the penalty and interest you will owe.  Only the IRS will calculate this—TurboTax will not calculate it.     When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.   Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

My only suggestions would be to (a) log out if you're logged in (or the other way around) and (b) completely turn off updates when you start the program.   By turning off updates I mean indicate you do not have an internet connection in the program options. You can always check for updates manually via the menu.

We could not e-file your return for the following reason: The Intuit Electronic Filing Center is closed for the 2024 Personal Income Tax filing season. November 15, 2025 was the last day to file returns electronically.
I started my 2024 taxes via the "start for free" site. Now I can't find it to complete it.
