5 years late but yes!  You would put your portion amount that you paid for the year. The cats would be included in what you paid.
I have not included the dash, but the last number does not fit in the box.

Make sure your computer is the same way when you originally installed it. Like with no flash drives plugged in or plugged in if one was. Even a printer plugged in or not. It asked me to activate again so I just closed the program and took out a flash drive that was plugged in and tried again. It worked. One user had his tax file on another drive and said….. I moved the tax file to C:\Users\myname\Documents\Turbotax and no longer get the activation. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/charges-and-fees/help/why-can-t-i-deduct-my-turbotax-fees-from-my-refund/00/25621   If your refund is enough to cover your TurboTax fees PLUS the extra “refund processing” fee of $40 ($45 in CA) and your forms are ready then when you are in the FILE section you can choose to have your fees deducted from your federal refund by a third party bank, who will take out your fees and send you the rest of your refund after the IRS issues the refund.    Please make note that if your refund takes too long to arrive (IRS delays, etc.) then you will also be agreeing that the TurboTax fees can be extracted from your bank account even before your refund is issued by the IRS.  This comes as an unpleasant shock to many people every year.      If you can possibly pay your fees upfront using a debit or credit card, it will save you that extra fee and even more importantly, the possible aggravation and delays that are often the result of poor handling/poor customer service by that third party bank.  We see way too many instances where refunds are delayed for months when users choose refund processing. There have been lots of complaints; there are a number of things that can go wrong when you use refund processing.  I suggest avoiding that situation if at all possible.     And....you can never pay state tax due from a federal refund, so do not expect that.   The state tax due has to be paid directly to your state.     What is Refund Processing Service?     How can I see my TurboTax  fees?      https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/intuit-account-billing/review-fees-turbotax-online/L1XnIzgzg_US_en_US?uid=m682vq7k         Please see these links for form availability dates Federal form availability   Forms availability

Rentals are often at a tax loss after you subject expenses and depreciation, so the rent income may not necessarily be adding to your taxable income.  And if that net rental amount is negative, it may also not be reducing your taxable income either because rental losses by default can't reduce your taxable income, so the tax loss just gets suspended and carried forward until you can use it in a future year if you either have future positive net passive (rental) income, or if you sell the property that also unlocks it.   The carry forward calculations and amount appear on form 8582.  TurboTax will carry it forward each year for you, but if you ever change tax software, you have to make sure it gets carried over.   There are exceptions that can allow rental loss to reduce your taxable income, including if your overall income is under $150k (in that case up to $25k in losses can offset your other income, but if your income is $100k-$150k, that $25k is reduced).

For those saying “you shouldn’t want a refund, then you overpaid”. Some of us put in Solar Systems last year, mine was done in December. It would have been impossible to adjust my withholding or quarterly payments not knowing I would qualify for this tax credit on my 2025 taxes. It’s a doozy too, mine is $15,000. So move along.

Have you tried clearing your cache & cookies yet?   Your browser stores recently visited webpages as temporary files in a cache, which enables the pages to load more quickly when revisited.   However, a full or corrupted cache can cause problems in TurboTax, so sometimes you need to clear your cache (that is, remove these temporary files).   Here are the official instructions for the most popular browsers: Google Chrome Mozilla Firefox Microsoft Edge Apple's official support site doesn't appear to contain instructions for clearing the cache in Safari. Your best bet is to search the Internet for clear Safari cache or similar search terms.     Cookies are small files that temporarily store data on your computer. We use them to personalize your experience so you see information you already entered and not items that are irrelevant or repetitive.   On rare occasions, they may make your browser think you already did something that you still need to do. To fix that, you'll need to delete (clear) the cookies from your browser.   Each browser has a slightly different method for deleting cookies. Choose the browser you're using: Microsoft Edge Mozilla Firefox Google Chrome Safari Safari for iOS (mobile devices)     For more information, please see TurboTax FAQ: How to clear your cache?   For more information, please see TurboTax FAQ: How do I delete cookies?

I'm getting the activation request each time I open or update the program.  I am not sure which action actually triggers this as I wasn't paying attention.   Not sure if there is current information on this issue and sorry for the post if there is a solution that I have not been able to find.  I did run across various potential fixes that seem to be met with approval/disapproval by users and not to eager executing them and finding they didn't work.  Especially if the 5 license limit is impacted by unsuccessful attempts.     I've never experienced this before and I have used Turbo tax going back to at least 2006.     Any info would be much appreciated. dp

@wheresjonny  using the simplest manifestation of the scenario  i.e. an US person ( citizen/GreenCard/Resident for tax purposes ) owning a foreign residential property, used as income property, having foreign bank account(s) and having  US tax-home,  YES,  TurboTax of appropriate level  ( I use  windows  Home & Business  and partial to it ) can indeed do an excellent job of  helping prepare a correct return ( both federal and State). There is very little difference between  a Schedule-E for a domestic prop. vs. a foreign prop. Form 1116 is supported by TurboTax adequately. Filing of FBAR is  done directly at FinCen.gov ( form 114 and ONLY on-line  ).   FATCA  ( form 8938 ) is filed along with your return and supported by TurboTax Note that rental income recognition for US purposes is per US tax laws only and , based on the tax regime at the host country, may or may not result in the same foreign source income and/or  FTC. Have zero opinion on whether the  holding of the foreign income prop. should be through an entity ( domestic or foreign ) or individual. Also please consider familiarization with US-that country tax treaty. Is there more i can do for you

It depends. Let's look at the reasons on each side of the decision and checking in the program.  Claiming the retirement subtraction is up $24k for single filers/ $48k married. High incomes generally do better taking the subtraction. If you don't take the retirement subtraction, you can take: Homestead credit - if you have a large credit here,  try both ways in the program. This is a refundable credit and that matters. Married couple credit - up to $480 Itemized deduction credit - 5% of some expenses School property tax credit - up to $300 Working families tax credit Earned income tax credit In addition, if you have low retirement income and high property taxes or medical expenses, the itemized deduction credit may be better. Finally, the program allows you to change your answers so you can try one method and then the other. Check your tax liability and refund both way.
