Progress! January 24, 2026, I entered my IRA withdrawals, and see my fed refund and state due. Good so far. Where is file menu to save as pdf. I stop at Pay Now or Pay Later. I already paid $70 in November, why can't I EASILY PREVIEW my 1040 and other forms? I want to know what my taxable SS amount looks like on the 1040. Where is it?

Based on FLSA, Overtime pay is a workweek in excess of 40 hours for one employer.
Please see the FLSA guidance to Overtime Pay.
This may not apply to salaried employees.

The method you delineated is one way to make that calculation, and most likely fine with the IRS. You could also get a CMA from your real estate broker (or agent) or an actual appraisal (probably overkill for this purpose). There is also the square footage method where you take the cost of the improvement, apply a depreciation factor, and then subtract that from the total cost which should give you the basis for the land.

No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”

It's possible this experience is related to a form that is not ready or has not been updated. To investigate your situation further, you may use Forms Mode to view and revise your entries (if needed).
Click the Forms icon in the TurboTax header and open Form 1065, p1-4.
Scroll down to Schedule B Line 4d. If the box is checked "yes," you are not required to include these schedules.
If the box is checked "no," look under Line 4b for Completion of Schedules L etc. Smart Worksheet.
Check the No box.
Now open Form 1065, p5-6.
Scroll down to Schedule L (Balance Sheet).
Areas with errors will appear in pink and you will see a red exclamation point to the left of the form in the forms list.
If you click the Errors Icon above the forms list, a full description of any errors will appear below the form you have open. This might include a "form not ready," message, if this status applies.
You may be able to resolve the error manually, or you may need to wait for a future TurboTax update.
Edit only numbers that appear in blue. Overriding calculated numbers invalidates the return for e-filing (you will need to mail the return). This is an IRS constraint.
Review the Forms list to identify any other errors affecting your return.
When finished, click Step-by-Step in the header to go back to the return.

Yes. You may be able to claim the energy-efficient home credit for a new Rheem HVAC system if the HVAC unit qualifies. The documentation you describe here may not be enough on its own. The IRS requires proof that the specific system installed meets applicable energy-efficiency standards.
The invoice should show proof of purchase and that the system was placed in service (date and seller/installer).
To be sure you are clear to claim this, be sure to note the model numbers of the installed equipment. You can also take a photo of this. Usually, the manufacturer will have a certification statement confirming the model qualifies under IRC §25C. You should retain the model numbers and manufacturer certification with your tax records. It doesn't need to be filed with the return.

If your refund is enough to cover your TurboTax fees PLUS the extra “refund processing” fee of $40 ($45 in CA) and your forms are ready then when you are in the FILE section you can choose to have your fees deducted from your federal refund by a third party bank, who will take out your fees and send you the rest of your refund after the IRS issues the refund.
Please make note that if your refund takes too long to arrive (IRS delays, etc.) then you will also be agreeing that the TurboTax fees can be extracted from your bank account even before your refund is issued by the IRS. This comes as an unpleasant shock to many people every year.
If you can possibly pay your fees upfront using a debit or credit card, it will save you that extra fee and even more importantly, the possible aggravation and delays that are often the result of poor handling/poor customer service by that third party bank. We see way too many instances where refunds are delayed for months when users choose refund processing. There have been lots of complaints; there are a number of things that can go wrong when you use refund processing. I suggest avoiding that situation if at all possible.
And....you can never pay state tax due from a federal refund, so do not expect that. The state tax due has to be paid directly to your state.
What is Refund Processing Service?

Do I get a credit or deduction if my child is disabled?
If your child is older than 12 and you need to pay someone to take care of him while you work, you can say he is disabled and you can still get the childcare credit on your federal return. Or if he is 19 or older you may still be able to claim him as a qualifying child dependent on your federal return.
Aside from those things, there is no federal tax advantage to saying that your child is disabled. Your state tax laws might be different.

I would like my fed refund to reflect $1041 ($1081 less the $40 that I agreed to pay) and not $953. I have no idea why this extra $80 was charged and I certainly didn't agree to pay $128 for a very simple 1040 filing.

Sorry---the "Live" experts do not help with past year tax returns. They can only help with current year 2025 returns.
Each tax year has to be filed separately using the forms for the specific tax year. They cannot be combined in any way--do not even put them in the same envelope when you mail them. Software for past years is available back to 2022. Any earlier years can only be prepared on paper forms by hand--and those refunds have been forfeited now.
It might be better for you to seek local paid tax help in a situation when you are several years behind in filing your tax returns. Do you even have all of the documents you will need to enter and show your income—like your W-2’s and any 1099’s?
You cannot change the tax year. The current online program is for 2025 only. Only a 2025 return can be prepared online and only a 2025 return can be e-filed.
Online preparation and e-filing for 2022, 2023, and 2024 is permanently closed.
Note: The desktop software you need to prepare the prior year return must be installed/downloaded to a full PC or Mac. It cannot be used on a mobile device.
To file a return for a prior tax year
If you need to prepare a return for 2022, 2023, or 2024 you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign, and mail the return(s)
https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/
You may also want to explore purchasing the software from various retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s, etc.
Remember to prepare your state return as well—if you live in a state that has a state income tax.
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/state-taxes/contact-state-department-revenue/L9qVToi02_US_en_US?uid=m6e06um0
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

You can file an Amended return in the Online software.
However, regardless of software you will have to wait for the IRS to reject or accept the original return.
The IRS is not process 2025 tax returns until January 26th, 2026.
If your return is rejected, you can go directly back in and make changes.
If it is accepted, follow these steps:
On the Tax Home screen,
Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents and
Select the Amend (change) return dropdown,
Then Amend using TurboTax Online.
(If you're told to amend your return via TurboTax Desktop, follow the steps for TurboTax Desktop instead.)
Continue through the screens, make the changes you need to make, and carefully answer the remaining questions to finish amending your return.
