> due to all the big bill changes I agree with your point about using something else for year-end planning, but I don't think we should excuse Intuit because of tax changes made in early July. Some of the sections that are still totally missing have no changes due to tax law changes in July. In late 2017, TT did an excellent job getting changes into the software *for the purposes of estimates, not filing* even though there was a much smaller lead time. But most of all, they are promoting TT now (and did as early as early November) with the assurance "Up-to-date on the latest tax laws". No, it isn't, and even stuff that didn't change isn't ready.

I disenrolled for Advantage, but it was not soon enough to avoid the Automatic charge and renewal of business version of Turbotax. Since I no longer need that version, please refund the $120 charge on my credit card. I tried to request the refund on the advantage site, but apparently that did not work. Can you please help me with a refund of the $120 charge?

I am an authorized distributor of the company, and I sell (online) the products of the company and get commissions for it. I write the invoice for my commissions (and pay 30% Tax), and the company then pays my commissions (without the 30% of taxes) by transferring to my bank account in South America.

Did you file a late 2024 tax return that has not yet been processed by the IRS---and did you choose to pay your TurboTax fees by having the fees deducted from your federal refund? That could explain the debit from your bank account.
TURBOTAX TOOK MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT
Did you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund? Is your refund taking an unusually long time to arrive? Or was your refund seized to pay a debt you owed? if so, you signed an agreement that says TT can withdraw its fees from your account. TurboTax would have sent several emails to you before they took the money out of your account.

TURBOTAX SAYS:
How do you justify debiting my account?
The provision is spelled out in the Pay With My Refund Agreement, which you agreed to when you opted to pay with your refund.
In addition, by clicking the "I Agree" button below, you electronically sign and authorize Intuit (through its third party processor) to debit the TurboTax Fees, Additional Products and Services Purchased and any applicable sales tax from your bank account number identified in the Agreement below, in the event that you do not receive a tax refund that is sufficient to pay for them.
How can I see my TurboTax fees?

Or----if it is something else---contact customer support Monday- Friday 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time.
No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”

We have no other information from you about your niece. POA does not necessarily mean you can claim her as a dependent. Please see this information.
IRS interview to help determine who can be claimed:
https://www.irs.gov/help/ita/who-can-i-claim-as-a-dependen
WHO CAN I CLAIM AS A DEPENDENT?
You can claim a child, relative, friend, or fiancé (etc.) as a dependent on your 2025 taxes as long as they meet the following requirements:
Qualifying child
They're related to you.
They aren't claimed as a dependent by someone else.
They're a U.S. citizen, resident alien, national, or a Canadian or Mexican resident.
They aren’t filing a joint return with their spouse.
They're under the age of 19 (or 24 for full-time students).
No age limit for permanently and totally disabled children.
They lived with you for more than half the year (exceptions apply).
They didn't provide more than half of their own support for the year.
Qualifying relative
They don't have to be related to you (despite the name).
They aren't claimed as a dependent by someone else.
They're a U.S. citizen, resident alien, national, or a Canadian or Mexican resident.
They aren’t filing a joint return with their spouse.
They lived with you the entire year (exceptions apply).
They made less than $5200 in 2025 (not counting Social Security)
You provided more than half of their financial support.
When you add someone as a dependent, we'll ask a series of questions to make sure you can claim them. There may be other tax benefits you can get when you claim a dependent.
If she meets the criteria to be claimed as your dependent, then delete her in MY INFO and re-enter her information, gong slowly and carefully through the interview screens. That often helps to clear it out and fix the problem.

The only way to file a past year return is to print it, sign and date it in ink, and file it by mail in envelopes. And...you have to pay your TurboTax fees before you can print.
You will be able to access the 2024 return you started by using the exact same account and user ID that you used when you started it. But you can no longer use online software for any further changes.
Start a 2025 return online and enter some personal information so that the menu on the left opens up and lets you access your past year returns.
Online tax preparation and e-filing for 2024 returns is now permanently closed.
Now it is too late to use online software or to e-file. If you have any changes/corrections at all to make to your 2024 return, you now have to complete it using desktop software, which you must download to a full PC or Mac (not to a mobile device). Then you need to print, sign and mail it.

If you already paid for your online software you can ask customer support for a download of the desktop software.
They are available from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time Monday - Friday

If you are getting a refund, there is no penalty for filing late. If you owe tax due, then file and pay the amount due as shown on the Form 1040, but expect a bill later from the IRS for the penalty and interest you will owe. Only the IRS will calculate this—TurboTax will not calculate it.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
