@Mike44nc The only federal stimulus checks issued were for tax year 2020 and 2021.   It is too late to get either of those stimulus payments.  There have been NO other federal stimulus checks since 2021.  There are rumors and lots of political huffing and puffing about "tariff" or "stimulus" checks but there are no checks, so you do not need to watch for one.

A lot of people  use the Online version, maybe more than the Desktop program.  And since you need WIndows 11 to install the 2025 Desktop program people will be switching to the Online version.  They seem to be trying to move people into the Online version.  

Desktop download Deluxe can include the software for one state program of your choosing.   If you purchase Deluxe from a retailer, be careful, as retailers can sell Deluxe both with and without the state program.  Read carefully and know what you are buying.   If you use online Deluxe, you pay separate fees for federal and state.

what are you trying to do? if it's e-filing 2024 or earlier that is no longer possible. the return must be printed and mailed. you may need the desktop app for that year. Only 2022, 2023, 2024 are available) . if you paid the Turbotax fees you should contact support to see if they'll push a free version of the desktop for that year.

Yes Online Premium is the highest version.  It combines the old Online Premier and Self Employed versions.  It has all the things as the Desktop Home & Business version.  Here's some more info......   See this article https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/articles/community-news-announcements/turbotax-windows-10-desktop-software-end-of-life/05/3708302   It says the Online version will have some new features over the Desktop program like… This year, we’re offering many new ways to automatically bring in your tax documents into TurboTax Online, including uploading PDFs of 1099-B and 1099-Composite forms. Be sure to have the 2024 return file ending in .tax2024 on your computer so you can transfer it into the online version next year. If you used the Desktop program before you may notice several differences and not like the online version. It has less features and no Forms Mode. And you will have to pay first to see all the forms. All the Online versions do not have the same forms so you may need to upgrade to a higher version. Online Premium is the highest vesion and has all the same forms as the Desktop programs. You can only do 1 return per account. And pay for each account. You can use the same email for 5 accounts. Federal and state are separate fees. Your return is only saved online so be sure to save both the .tax2025 data file and the pdf file to your computer when you are done. In case you need to amend in the future or if you need a copy to get a loan or something. You might not be able to access your online return when you need a copy.
