If you have failed to claim depreciation for two or more years, the IRS views this as an established, incorrect accounting method.    Instead of simply beginning to claim it now, you are generally required to file Form 3115 to formally change your accounting method.    This process allows you to claim a Section 481(a) catch-up adjustment on your current tax return, which accounts for the total missed depreciation from all prior years. You  must also send Form 3115 to:   Internal Revenue Service Ogden, UT 84201 Attn: M/S 6111

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst         If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act.  Do not expect your refund before early March   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US   Note:  “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”.  TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing.   Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing.  If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.   FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE: https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund How it works Where's My Refund shows your refund status: Return Received – We received your return and are processing it. Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown. Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

Did you e-file your tax return and was it accepted? Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.   You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large button labeled "Transmit my returns now".   After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.   Note - Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.  Only the taxpayer listed on the tax return can obtain the status of a tax refund or a tax return.   To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product. If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_...   After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

Can you clarify the situation? Did you already file on the state's website? Is the state return still in TurboTax? Did you try to file in the same state again? Did you try to delete the state. Is it preventing you from filing your Federal return? Did you try to file the Federal and select not to file the state?

To see what is causing your return to be rejected and find out how to fix it:   Sign in to your account Select the Fix my return button Follow any “fix it” instructions to update the information causing the rejection.   What does my rejected return code mean and how do I fix it? There are also some returns that are not able to be filed due to a processing error that will be corrected on March 6, 2026. If this is your case, after this date, open the rejected return, review it for errors, and resubmit the return for electronic filing.
And thanks for the link on the forms.  I wonder why the Turbo Tax forms notifications did not go out.  But that is for a perfect world.

When I tried to enter my K-1 information (already have it with final information filled in) into the form (1065) in Turbo Tax, Turbo Tax responded that the forms were not ready yet and I should sign up for form notifications and I would be notified by Turbo Tax when the forms were ready for use in Turbo Tax.  None of this has happened and I was informed by a friend that they saw that the forms were ready in Turbo Tax.  I am simply trying to find out if the forms are officially ready for use in Turbo Tax.

No, you do not need to report a change in bonus value each year. Once it matures and you take the distribution, you will pay tax on the proceeds minus your premiums paid.   This is taxed as ordinary income, not subject to the capital gains rate. This will need to be reported in US Dollars and not rupees on your US tax return.
Did you figure this out? I'm having the same issue.

Yes. Since you performed services in Pennsylvania and have a W2 that shows PA wages and tax withholding, you will file a PA non-resident tax return (PA-40).   Texas does not have a personal income tax, so you do not need to file a Texas individual tax return.   Here is information from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on requirements for filing a tax return if you are a nonresident.
