Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing or the timing when the IRS releases your refund.    Your refund could be offset. The IRS and State Governments have the ability to offset a refund to pay for certain past due debts.  You generally will receive a letter stating what the offset was for.    The IRS provides a toll-free number, (800) 304-3107, to call for information about tax offsets.   Here are a few FAQs to help you track your refund: When will I get my federal tax refund? How do I track my state refund? Why does Where's My Refund say "approved" but TurboTax still says "accepted"? Why do some refunds take longer than others? What if my IRS refund is taking longer than 21 days?

I realize you have done many of these things, but can you try the other ones?    You can try these things:   Log Out Completely: Before doing anything else, click Sign Out in the TurboTax menu. Clear Cache and Cookies: This removes old, "corrupted" data that might be confusing the website. Use an Incognito (Private) Window: This is the most effective "quick fix" because it launches the browser without any saved history or extensions (like AdBlockers) that often interfere with tax forms. Check Pop-up Blockers: TurboTax often opens forms (like the 1099 PDF) or payment windows in a separate pop-up. Look at the right side of your address bar for a small icon with a "red X"—click it and select "Always allow pop-ups from Intuit." Restart the Browser: Close all open windows of your browser entirely and then reopen it.   Most TurboTax errors happen because the browser is trying to use an old "session" from a previous visit. By clearing the cache or using Incognito mode, you force the browser to establish a brand-new, secure connection with the Intuit servers.

The 1040X for 2025 has been updated and should be working properly by end of the day.  Normally, you're asked for an AGI/PIN in the File section, just before filing, and TurboTax should pick that up from your originally filed return.  Make sure you update your program before working on your amended return.   @PetZ

What about filing a 1040 to supersede one that was incorrect filed before the due date? IRS says that can be done via e-file. Does TurboTax have that ability?
This worked for me!  I exited out of TT25, then restarted, and I was able to transfer my 2024 data to the 2025 instance.  Thanks.
As of today, the 1040X is not available on TurboTax.
Thank you.  This helped me figure out the reason for the difference.  There was a charitable contribution on my spouse's W-4 I forgot about.     Thank you.  This was helpful.

Your refund may have been offset. The IRS and state governments can intercept refunds to pay for certain past-due debts (such as back taxes, child support, or student loans).   How to check for an offset:   The IRS Hotline: Call (800) 304-3107 for automated details regarding tax offsets. Official Notice: You will typically receive a letter in the mail explaining the specific debt and the amount withheld.   If you used "Pay with Refund":    If the IRS "Where’s My Refund" tool shows your funds were released but you haven't received them, please note that Intuit does not hold these funds. You will need to contact the Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (SBTPG) directly: Website: SBTPG Support

Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing or the timing when the IRS releases your refund.    The IRS Where's My Refund site will not take into account the 5 days early, but if you signed up for the 5 Day Early product, you should receive your refund deposited 5 days prior to the date indicated by the IRS, assuming all conditions are met.   For more information click on the link below 5 Days Early Option   If you don't get your deposit 5 days early, there is a few reasons why that might happen.   Your refund was offset or differed from their estimated refund amount, bringing the refund amount below the minimum threshold or above the maximum. What is a refund offset? Your bank wouldn't accept RTP (Real Time Payments) or Same Day ACH deposits, preventing Intuit from depositing your refund 5 days ahead of when the IRS would have deposited your refund. The IRS didn't give Intuit 5 or more days of notice in advance. This stopped Intuit from meeting the 5 days early expectations. If TurboTax is unable to deliver the refund 5 days early, your order will be canceled and you won't be charged the 5-Day Early fee. You will receive a follow-up email with a refund and timing update, and if any cancellation is applicable.
I've signed full names on the turboTax disclosure statement, agreed, but nothing happens. How do i agree to this?
