Paying your fees did not file your tax return.  Did you go all the way through the three steps of the FILE section and click a big orange button that said "Transmit my returns now?"   If you did not do that, you did not e-file.    Or, was your e-file rejected and you did not notice?     When you e-file your return you will get two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say your return has been transmitted; the second one will tell you the IRS has accepted  or rejected your federal e-file.  If you filed a state return, there will be a third email (usually a day or two later) that tells you if the state e-file was accepted or rejected.   Check your e-file status:   https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/    What does it say in your account?  Does it show that the return was accepted?   Or does it say something else---like "rejected," "printed," or "ready to mail?”   If you discover or realize that your e-file was rejected, you will need to print it, sign and date it in ink, and file it by mail now, since e-filing is closed for returns for tax year 2023.

Hello, Our joint filing tax bracket is 24%. We did Roth conversion ($100000) earlier this year. Paid 24% ($24000) estimated tax before 4/15 deadline. We are planning to do more conversion (maybe about $40k) later this year. Then pay another 24% estimated tax for that amount before 1/15/2026 deadline.  We do not quite understand the safe harbor rule. Should we pay some taxes in 2nd/3rd Quarter to avoid penalties? How much should we pay to avoid penalties?   Thanks,
we are senior citizens as well

Hello, I still haven't received an answer to my question. How can I enter currency exchange losses, that I received converting dollars to another currency?   Is it considered as ordinary income and is non-taxable/non-deductible or can I treat it as a capital gain or loss? I entered this information using step-by-step and generating a 1099-B. I managed that Schedule D+8949 were generated.   I gave in the data for 4 transactions with type inherit, but noticed that it should probably be a type short term and entered the dates acquired. I did this change over Step-by-Step, but it still shows up long term. Does it make no difference. The 1099-B wks. is generated correctly. But with no Dates. The 8949 has only the proceeds date.   What is the correct way to navigate? I am probably doing something wrong. The input screens are not very clear.   Thanks for any help.
Just wanting to know why I was charged these amounts for filing my taxes

Please see how do I find my tax data file (.tax file) in Mac for some steps to assist you.   There is also a possible solution provided by a customer in this thread that you can try if the first link does not assist.  Essentially, look for a file named "unsaved TurboTax document" to locate your .tax file.   @csktx
Not email Efile I did
When I am filing taxes I have bought the service for $60 But no one called me How do I seek the refund
It depends on the Postal Service. No one can tell you how long it will take for the Postal Service to deliver the check.
You can amend  as many time as you want, but it is best to wait until the current amend has been completed before sending another amend.
@taxlady28   If they used the Desktop program there is a separate fee to efile the state return.
When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.  So if you don't get any emails back you... See more...

The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.  So if you don't get any emails back you better check your account and return. When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.
Correct.
