I'm getting this: Information Worksheet: Address should not be entered directly on the Georgia Information Worksheet for Electronic filing. You must complete the Federal Information Worksheet. I've tried to fix it repeatedly. The fed info is correct. The program is not picking the data up. I've cleared cookies and the cache. Nothing seems to work.

First, you may want to check and be sure that you do not have an identity protection PIN from the IRS. You can figure that out by logging in or creating an account here.
Second, if you do not have a PIN and the return keeps rejecting you may want to print and mail your return. If it keeps rejecting that means that there is a possibility that your identity has been compromised and mailing the return in will solve that issue.

If a dependent mistakenly indicated no one can claim them and causes a rejection of the parent's return, the IRS now allows the first-listed (primary) taxpayer (such as the parent) to get an IP PIN and still successfully efile and avoid having to file a return on paper. Your dependent will need to amend their return to indicate someone else is claiming them. See this TurboTax FAQ for help with amending.
"Beginning in the 2025 filing season, the IRS will accept Forms 1040, 1040-NR and 1040-SS even if a dependent has already been claimed on a previously filed return as long as the primary taxpayer on the second return includes a valid Identity Protection Personal Identification Number (IP PIN). This change will reduce the time for the agency to receive the tax return and accelerate the issuance of tax refunds for those with duplicate dependent returns. In previous years, the second tax return had to be filed by paper."
"In the scenario where the dependent has already been claimed on another tax return, the IP PIN provides an important new option. The taxpayer listed first on an e-filed tax return claiming dependents can provide their current year IP PIN when they file. If they do, the return will still be accepted. The spouse (if married filing jointly) and the dependents on the tax return don’t need to provide an IP PIN if they don’t have one."
The IP Pin will change each and every year. This is an Identity Protection Pin.
You can get an Identity Protection pin here, or if you lost your IP PIN, you can go here to Retrieve IP PIN.
Here are two ways to navigate to the section to enter the 6 digit IP PIN:
Log in and open your return ("Take me to my return")
Once the return is open, then go to the Federal Taxes tab.
Subtab Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Return Info.
Choose Identity Protection PIN and Start (or Revisit.)
Next screen asks: "Did you or any of your dependents get an IP PIN from the IRS for this year's taxes?"
Or another way:
Open your return if not already open. ("Take me to my return.")
Once the return is open, click at the top on MY ACCOUNT, then choose TOOLS.
In the Tools window choose TOPIC SEARCH.
Enter IP PIN without quotes.
In the selection list highlight IP PIN and click GO.
Next screen asks: "Did you or any of your dependents get an IP PIN from the IRS for this year's taxes?"

MY DEPENDENT SAID HE COULD NOT BE CLAIMED
Your dependent filed a return without saying he could be claimed on your return and your return was rejected? AFTER his return has been fully processed and he has received his refund, he has to file an amended return that says he can be claimed as a dependent on someone else’s return. Amended returns must be prepared on a Form 1040X. It takes the IRS at least four to six months to process an amended return.
Meanwhile, since your e-filed return has been rejected, you now have to print and mail it in to the IRS. You will not be able to e-file. You do not have to wait for your dependent’s amended return to be processed. Remember that when you mail a return, you need to include copies of your W-2, etc. with your return. Use a mailing service like certified mail that will track it so you will know that the IRS received it.

I believe there are jurisdictions (states) that allow "non-stock corporations" BUT I also believe there are only a handful, if not just a very few. Regardless, this type of corporation is NOT generally allowed to distribute income to its shareholders (owners) because they have none. As a result, the only form of income that can be received is reasonable compensation for services performed by, for example, a board member, or other employee of the corporation. You really do need to consult with local tax and/or legal counsel.

I don’t know if I owe anything or not. It doesn’t make sense to fire return if you did not owe anything and they never told me whether I owed anything.

Replying to an earlier question about how to find what your UBTI value is on a K-1 form: Each K-1 for a particular investment like an MLP has a designated box (#20, Code V, even though it's not clearly labeled as such) that shows your share of the reporting entity's UBTI for that year (assuming it has UBTI). You don't have to calculate it yourself by looking at distribution amounts or anything else. Just check the amount in Box 20V to see whether you're below or above the threshold $1000 figure. By the way, as I understand it, the tax-exempt allowance is $1000 per year for ALL UBTI within a particular IRA, and NOT $1,000 of UBTI for each individual K-1 holding that a person might have in their IRA, if they have more than one such investment. So if you have more than one K-1 with UBTI in a particular IRA, you'd need to add those totals together for a given tax year to see where you stand.

I am 69 and have a TSA account that I contributed around $8,700 to, however the statement I received just recently shows that it is worth about $6,700. I currently collect State of Texas Teachers Retirement and Social Security and my 70 yo husband collects Social Security, a SEP retirement annuity payments as well as works part time in a second hand store selling venture. I am considering closing this TSA account and using the funds to do some remodeling of my home. Can someone tell me what the potential affects of taking this money out would / could be to my 2025 taxes? Thank you inn advance.

MY DEPENDENT HAD A JOB
If your dependent has a W-2 for his after-school job, summer job, etc. you do not include the information on your own return. You can still claim your child as a dependent on your own return. He/she can file his own return for a refund of some of his withheld wages from boxes 2 or 17 (he won’t get back anything for Social Security or Medicare), but MUST indicate on it that he can be claimed as a dependent on someone else’s return. (Supervise this closely or prepare it for him!)
If your dependent’s earnings were over $400 and were reported on a 1099Misc or 1099NEC then he must file a return and pay self-employment tax for Social Security and Medicare.
