If you already started an online return you will have to clear it and start over to transfer. How to clear and start over https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/using-turbotax/help/how-do-i-clear-and-start-over-in-turbotax-onli...   Clear is now listed under Switch Products instead of Tax Tools.    See screenshot on this one. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/taxes/discussion/trying-to-start-my-data-entry-over-by-clearing-current-file-no-option-is-shown-in-my-left-menu-to-do/00/3718935   If you used the Desktop program before you may notice several differences and may not like the online version. It has less features and no Forms Mode. The Online versions don't have all the same forms so you might have to upgrade to a higher Online version. You can only do 1 return. Your return is only saved online so be sure to save both the .tax2025 data file and the pdf file to your computer when you are done. In case you need to amend in the future or if you need a copy to get a loan or something. You might not be able to access your online return when you need a copy.
if there's nothing in box 14 of your W-2 leave it blank in TurboTax not even zero. If you imported it, you may need to delete it and enter it manually.

We’re currently working on an update for Form 5605.  There will be an update on March 6.  After this day you can go back through your return, and make any changes as needed, then file your return.   If you are using TurboTax Online the program updates automatically.   If you are using TurboTax Desktop make sure all updates have been run on your program. You can do this by clicking on "Online" in the black bar across the top of your TurboTax screen. And then select "Check for Updates". If you have any additional questions or information regarding this please return to TurboTax Community and we would be glad to help.

Thanks I figured out what the problem was.  when the software asked me how much my traditional IRA contribution was I entered nothing because there was a second blank below it asking how much of it I contributed during this year for 2025.  I will make the entire contribution this year so I only entered an amount in the second blank.  I should have entered the whole amount in both the first blank and the second blank then the software would have had a total from the first which has to be greater than or equal to the amount I contributed this year.  as I did it originally there was only an amount in box 11 for this year and a zero total in other blanks which is why it was flagged and the software told me I can't have a positive amount in box 11.
