Interest income appears on Schedule B which also shows the name and SSN of the individual(s) on the return (1040).

For Schedule E you just enter the name as shown on your return (1040).

@LaShaunA3 Where do you select "Print on pre-printed forms (Copy A)"? I don't see that in my Windows Home & Business program. Using the built in Desktop Create Forms, I have Form 1099-NEC Copy A (John Smith) but can't find print on PRE-Printed forms. Which Print button? I've looked under Print Center upper right and File-Print and in Forms mode. Could it be in the QEF Quick Employer Forms method? The Quick Employer Forms only supports e-filing of the forms with the IRS and Social Security Administration. Copy A of the Form 1099 and W-2 are only used for e-filing and are not provided for printing. And if you can print on the red pre-printed forms that would be a very BIG change.

I am not upgrading a home computer just so I can run Turbo Tax. Sounds like H&R block works with Windows 10. Is there any way to transfer data from my previous Turbo Tax return to H&R Block? I could enter it manually I suppose but the carryover losses and depreciation of investment property will take some work. Are there other software options that work on windows 10.

I was enrolled in a HDHP w/HSA in 2024 and January-November 2025. I contributed the max amount in 2024. I contributed 11/12th of the allowed amount in 2025. When I entered data in Turbo Tax Online 2025, it tells me that I contributed too much and $429 will be treated as income and I'll incur the 10% tax penalty. How do I figure out which year, 2024 or 2025, that I made an excess contribution?

What you see is correct.
Social Security is still being taxed as it was in the past; however, there's a new $6,000 deduction for individuals older than 65 years old. Also, a $12,000 deduction would apply to couples who qualify.
This deduction is for qualified individuals.
Age: You must be 65 or older by the end of the tax year (e.g., born before Jan 2, 1961, for 2025 returns).
Income Limits: Your Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) must be below certain thresholds (e.g., $175k single, $250k joint for 2025), with Deductions phasing out above those levels.
Benefit: Up to $6,000 (single) or $12,000 (joint) Additional standard deduction to reduce taxable income.
Deduction phases out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $75,000 ($150,000 for joint filers).
The full taxable amount is included in your gross income on Form 1040; however, the Senior Deduction is reflected on line 13b.
It is reflected on Schedule 1A, Part V, Line 37
For more information, see Deductions for Seniors.
